It's good you're watching Kai. A lot of people recommend the original DBZ for nostalgic reasons and because of a few scenes they think are done better, but the pacing is so bad in the original that it's kind of selfish to foist that upon someone new to the franchise lol

That original funimation dub also changed character traits, like the fight with Goku & Freeza on Namek where in the Funi dub they portrayed him as “Superman” whereas the Japanese sub is different.

I understand the sentiment of "if they wouldn't survive in jail, they shouldn't survive outside", but there are a lot of people who wouldn't survive in jail who didn't do anything in the first place. Prison time in a lot of states is spent in solitary confinment, something we've known to drive people insane for decades if not centuries, and is forced upon every prisoner including those who are low level offenders or portentially falsely imprisoned. If you die in prison, there's a good chance you were killed by someone who wanted to kill anyway and was looking for any rationalization and knows nobody treats prisoners as humans in the first place.

Always love that Vegeta's pride was his own downfall. Goku was too weak after the X4 Kaioken so If he had just fought Goku without using his fake moon then he would have won.
