I'm glad I found your channel a few weeks ago, I'm enjoying your consistent updates. Looking forward to seeing some distribution videos once you've been doing this a couple of months! I currently have about 25k in YMAX and 25k in MSTY. Making about $4k/month. No margin. I'm just going to be sitting on the cash it generates for now and using it to seize good opportunities as they arise. Keep up the content man 👊

Yeah I try to make an update when something different happens. Sometimes a week blows by and I wont be able to do anything, My strategy utilizes high margin (But job as a margin call protection). And sometimes I work till dark or even on weekends, Last weekend for example on a sunday I went in at 6:30 AM and left at 7:30 at night Glad you like the channel tho, There are many other youtubers doing these yieldmax videos but I feel i am different being super young but a "Big" portfolio, and being heavily in margin Will i make a catastrophic mistake? Or reap in riches, Find out next video 🤣🤣

I've been doing this for several months. I've taken personal loans, line of credit, margin, and invested into my brokerage, also invested into crypto (stablecoins, lending and yield farming). Still have to monitor interest rates to make sure they're holding above the debt interest. My issue is that I get impatient and uncomfortable holding so much debt. I end up paying the debts in a few months and close out the loans after earning some profits. This time around I'll be holding out for longer to allow for compounding before considering paying a larger amount of the debt off. Glad to see you acknowledge the high risk you're taking on.

@@moisesfermin1644 most definetly I don’t want a year of savings to go down the drain I wanna pay the debt off but slowly Ideally if the economy does not go to crap , I mean the stock market Then I will pay off 15%-20% of the margin a week (20% of each weekly distribution pays down margin)

Please don't forget to factor in the taxes that a high dividend portfolio using margin will generate. Everyone seems to ignore that factor or claim that it depends on everyone's individual tax situation. That's great but it would be disingenuous to new investors to not factor it in for total returns. Heavy use of margin is great for an up trending bull market but a 10% pullback could feel like a 20% for conservative investments in margin and maybe a 30%-40% drop for more aggressive plays. The other factor is that most high yield dividend etf's tend to lose value forcing you to buy more shares to keep the position size stable. Paying outsized dividends means you will need to set aside 30% of that inflow to cover State or Federal taxes. I wish you the best of luck but after 2 years of getting 20%+ gains in the indexes, we very well could be in for a bumpy ride this year. Personally I'm up over 83% in the last 3 years which includes the 20% down year in 2022 so you need to be prepared for anything.

Hi , what assumptions are you using for the calculation of “ months to break even” What formula have you used to pull in all the positions break even values. Can you share a blank spreadsheet with these formulas Thanks.
@ReiShirouOfficial
@ReiShirouOfficial 16 күн бұрын
Break even has no complex formula If you invested $1000 And make $100 a month Simple $100x 10 months 10 months break even Or similarly I divided my $117k investment by my income from these funds So $117000/9400 Or $117000/11000 if I go 88% margin
@Anonymous-ld7je

@@ReiShirouOfficial No, that's not how it works when you're on margin. You are paying daily compounding interest on the money you're borrowing from Robinhood, and need to calculate that into your payback period. It's like a mortgage. You're not just paying the principal back, you also have to pay interest. Also, it will only be an assumption because Robinhood can and does change the margin rate at any time.
@ReiShirouOfficial
@ReiShirouOfficial 15 күн бұрын
@@Anonymous-ld7je I think it’s close enough on another spread sheet I’m saving 6% and 24% for tax Numbers are already conservative If I estimate 10 months break even it’s going to be pretty close (I don’t even factor in compound interest from reinvestment) to calculations on my end It should be good man

I hope you are factoring margin interest rates. Robinhood charges like 6-7%. I know its much lower than the income but when you factor in taxes on top of that, it can throw off your numbers significantly.

Would you say investing a small portion of your portfolio ( like 2-5%) into Ymax would be a good idea?
@ReiShirouOfficial
@ReiShirouOfficial 15 күн бұрын
@@jeremyweaver647 not financial advice but ironically even coming from me I’d say probably not These funds have erosion over time aka a time limit I use margin to break even quicker before the time limit ticks against me to hard It could backfire on me but if not I’d be having it good To be clear ymax takes 2 years to break even, but that’s assuming it stays at a stagnant price Which we know it erodes so it will take longer maybe I think for the high risk who use margin these are money printers seemingly, but risk adverse people should stick to the normal boring investments
