When people make fun of men's physical appearance it's like getting a knife and stabbing them, as we sustain more wounds we grow weaker and weaker, sometimes it is hard to have confidence in yourself when you are constantly being reminded about certain physical traits with the knowledge that your life could potentially be better without them. Sadly this may never change, just gotta grow some balls sometimes and accept the bitter reality, that or do what a lot of men do and top themselves. Gotta say being a dude sucks sometimes.

Gotcha beat, Phil...I was 17 AND I had long, beautiful rocker hair when I noticed the retreating front and the rapid falling out. I was 18 & a freshman in college the 1st time someone pointed out to me, unasked, that "your hairline is receding". A fat girl with buck teeth & a terrible lisp, as I recall. I was 19 the first time I buzzed my hair all the way down with clippers, just to see if I could be passably bald & still attractive. Thankfully it was the 90s & the look was in, as long as you rocked the requisite goatee! I was 20 the first time I shaved it with a razor to see how people would react. I wore short hair as long as I could, but as soon as the skin appeared on the back of my head I started shaving it all the time, & I've never looked back.

I eventually decided to shave my head to see how I felt about, I didn’t mind it at first but then many of my friends would poke fun at me because of my receding hairline, and it really struck a nerve with me. I decided to just grow my hair out and leave it as it is, I’m 20 now. I still have my hair but I definitely have noticed thinning. This just showed up as a suggested video for me. It was enlightening to see your struggle with all of it. I had thick hair as a kid (they used to use thinning shears when I got my hair cut) but when I was in college the hair began thinning and hairline began receding. I was in my mid 20s when I finally broke down and went to the barber shop to have my hair buzzed. It was a strange feeling, as you said. It took a few das to get used to but I've been good with it ever since. Your mentioning how weird it felt against the pillow and in the shower brought back those memories. I actually just shaved all my facial hair last week (I blame you because I'd been thinking about it and then saw your chat video where you did and decided to it!) and the shower feeling was so weird. Anyway, had no idea of your struggles, I thought it was just a choice. Your wife's reaction made me so happy. Looks like you have a keeper! Oh, and after seeing the picture of your two in the video, now I know who that Phil guy is that FB keeps suggesting I add. LOL Hope all is well with you and yours!

Young guys, rule number one on stuff like this---don't give a sht. Be confident. If you're not, fake it until you feel it. Women can sense all of that, and if you're insecure, it's a feedback loop, etc. If you own what you got, you'll be just fine. And the women that don't like what you got? Thanks buddy. One of my friends advised to be careful as well. I've been using SPF 30-50 so far (it's been 2 days).

Something to do with DHT (fancy name for a type of testosterone), which blocks off the blood flow to the scalp area. Thanks for watching and for the positive words!

U pull it off which many can not. The up side is you will probably look the same age you are now for a long time. A decent physique goes well rocking the bald look . Looks like u train.

This dude looks great without hair! You got one of those faces where it looks like your meant to be bald like the rock or jason statham. People would kill to be bald just so they can have your looks and facial features! Always look on the bright side.

I've lost all my hair at 18 , now I'm totally bald , the worst thing that I have so much going on that I can't explain it here , so my baldness doesn't really suits my look and position ... Anyways, you look so good dude , baldness is fine sometimes and it suits you I swear

What a brave and personal video. It was really something observing your anguish over your hair. I have other things in my life that cause me similar strife. The commonality is: there's 1 person (ourselves) in the world who feels the pain, and literately no one else in the planet is bothered. You gained so much power by making this public proclamation, so congrats.

Embracing baldness at 19 must be hard on the self-esteem - I was lucky and only started balding in my 50s. But you look absolutely fantastic as a bald and proud guy.
