Meet us in The Maloca (themaloca.com) for regular community events focused on holistic healing, plant medicine, and psychedelics!
Ayahuasca is one of many plants used in Amazonian Plant Medicine. Traditionally, Ayahuasca was only drunk by the "Maestra/o," while patients would sit in ceremony and receive healing through Icaros and Sopladas (blowing mapacho - sacred tobbaco - or perfume), learned via plant dietas by the Maestro/a. The diagnosis during the ceremony would evaluate the patient's health state. The treatment would involve ingesting other plants to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
These other techniques, tools, and Plant Teachers together make up the "medicine wheel," of which ayahuasca is one part.
This event will introduce you to those other Plant Teachers, their therapeutic benefits, and different methods of working with them.
In this introduction, Ana will share the ways she uses Master Plants in her practice and how you can integrate them into your daily life. There will be an offering at the end for those interested in exploring and deepening their connection with the plants!
Participants will learn:
What are Master Plants?
Master Plants and their Therapeutic Benefits
Different ways of working with Master Plants
Master Plant Diets and their importance within Traditional Amazonian Plant Medicine
Master Plants and Psychotherapy
There will be a talk followed by a Q&A at the end.
We look forward to sharing space with you!

Ana Calisto started her Plant Medicine journey more than a decade ago in Portugal. She has built her life around the wisdom, knowledge, and guidance gained from her Traditional Amazonian Plant Medicine studies. In 2013, Ana first traveled to the Peruvian Amazon to further her studies and work as a facilitator in one of the most well-known Amazonian plant medicine centers in Peru. There, she had the good fortune to meet and work with Dan Cleland, Soltara's co-founder. After a couple of years of healing, dieting, and studying under the Shipibo tradition, Ana decided to focus on her own healing path, doing many dietas under the Quechua-Lamista Tradition. It led her to return to Portugal and embark on a journey to become a certified Body Psychotherapist. Body Psychotherapy applies the basic principles of somatic psychology, where the body plays an essential role in the healing journey. Her integration journey led her to create a customized, one-on-one integration program. Along with her practice as a therapist, she combines Master plants specific to client intention, to bring more depth and guidance to their unique integration journey. Ana is dedicated to helping other people integrate their Ayahuasca journey, turning visions into reality and desires into actions, breaking old patterns, and creating new habits.
