I just want to mention, putting your hands at 9 and 3 is meant to be the ideal holding position on the steering wheel, it might help you out. And in the corners you’re making a lot of corrections, try being smooth. After I made these changes gained about half a second on my pb on 100 lap old tyres, (previous pb was on new tyres). It’s been exciting watching your improvement.

Try taking more kerb in the esses. It will give you a straighter line and also it will pull the kart round the corner so you can carry more speed down the straight. You can see that in that first practice the kart pulls away very quickly. It does get a lot better throughout the weekend which is really good!!! Another thing is when you see a crash in front don’t slam on the brakes as that just sends you into a spin which was happening a lot. It happened to me a lot for a while and it is just a natural reaction but just go into a coast and do the work with the steering when there is a spin in front.

Yeah with the crash I need to learn to not slam on the brakes, thing is with years of corporate karting you can get away with slamming on the brakes hard and still catch it but rotax as a lot different

@@marchracing6982 completely agree. When I started rotax I had the same issue all the time.

Try pressing the brake and holding it so that you can get more turn in and you will improve your bottom end. It will also stop from sliding but other than that I think it’s really good for the amount of time you’ve done in a proper kart 👍
