I wanted to learn this song and never even contemplated trying to finger pick it, but your comment about the simplicity and being a good place to start for that style of playing hit home. When I get home, I’m going to learn this song and maybe try to learn more about finger picking. I’m not great at guitar so never really attempted it, but maybe this lesson will get me over the hump. Thx!

I think I got it down! I can get through the sections so that it sounds correct, but need to work on the stamina to get through the entire song at once - ha! One thing, though, I pulled up LC’s video on this and really slowed it down and for each chord he comes back to the 6th string for at quick hit after the open G before going to the 6th string hit for the next chord. I had to slow it down to ~50% or so to see it in his video. Thanks so much again. I’m going to look for some finger style courses/exercises. This was really fun. Mike

Awesome video! You made it so simple. I watched a video on tuning and I didn’t know this but a fast way to tune down a half step is capo on 1st fret and tune standard. I’m new to guitar so that helped a lot too. Keep on jamming brother 🎸

I found that tuning the G string to F sharp and playing 2nd fret 6th fret 7th fret and 9th fret instead of 3rd,7th,8th and 10th sounds a lot more like the original acoustic song. Also I’m using nylon strings

Thank you to the algorithm that made it possible to watch good videos, I hope that you will succeed as you have worked hard for your dreams. In the KZbin world, meeting your video is like an accidental meeting among countless videos like grains of sand on a wide beach. Your video shines the most in my KZbin window right now. KZbin is flowing endlessly on my small channel boat over the huge and far-off sea. I am very fortunate to have found your video while rowing a small paddle and going endlessly and endlessly. In this harsh KZbin world, even if the cold rain and wind blows and everything falls like fallen leaves, I will forever leave only your video in my memory. Your video is the best video. I was so happy to see your video on KZbin. In the night sky, in the wide KZbin world like the Milky Way, I accidentally met your video as beautiful as a star and enjoyed it as if in a dream. It makes my heart flutter because I have a feeling that your video, which I feel was made with unsparing sincerity, will soon receive a lot of love. Whether it was a coincidence or a coincidence based on an unknown and mysterious algorithm, I opened my KZbin window and your thumbnail caught my eye. The moment I first saw your video, it made my heart flutter and made me happy. I am sitting by the window with dark eyes like the night colored by the stars in the night sky, reminiscing on faded memories and watching your videos. As I watch your wonderful videos, my heart keeps falling over and over as if it is moving. It seems that there is a KZbinr who wants to become a fan after a long time. There are emotions that cannot be expressed in words in this short video. You have the ability to make your videos instantly stunning and attractive.

If anyone else is stuggling with the tuning it’s literally the flat of every string a half step down not the G# or f# thing

How to tune for dummies. Capo on first fret. Tune normally. Boom. Half step down

Doesn’t sound the same, might be because I use nylon instead of steel strings

Little confused. The song is in 4/4 time. And your only strumming 3 times per chord..
