My biggest yellowfin tuna 262lbs and over 3 hours of fight. That fish was a mean fish 5 times around boat. Also loss about 220lbs after 2 hours right at gaff.

Why is the intrepid rusting out of all the holes on the boat? its 20 years younger than most of the boats in the fleet. I was at the landing two weeks ago coming back from a 10 day and it looked like shit.

yes I keep most of what I catch and all is utilized. Most is either pan sired or grilled the rest is smoked and or bottled. Some of the best fish you can eat!

no rod holders on the rail, these tuna run out around and under the boat and you have to follow them or they get cut off so rod holders would not work well for this type of fishing

Them are yellowfin tuna, not bluefin they don’t have the same regulations as the east coast and even if they were bluefin you are able to keep two per day I believe in California no minimum size limit. I don’t believe they catch bluefin over 73 inches or if the do it’s rare
