I rhink how this works is the guests pay up front; down payment or full. then they go fishing, keeping all of the catch based on a special commercial / sport fishing system that allows the guests to basically take part in a commercial / sport fishing fun and $$ venture. At the end of the day a small part of catch is divided up among the guests; the rest is sold and the $$ is divided up as crew shares among the guests. This sometimes gives the guests a cost free trip. As a commercial troll fisherman, I think its awesome; and as Donald says, for many reasons.

Scott the trip is a "charter" so all pay to be aboard. Each fisherman is given a number and tags with their number on them. so when a fisherman catches a fish his tag and number are stapled to the gill plate of the fish he or she has caught. and put into the hold to keep it cold. At the end of the trip each fisherman gets his fish that are tagged with his number. Some fish are shared at times but not always. It is up to the fisherman that caught the fish. They are not sold at least I don't know of anyone that sells them. We eat the fish all year long and bottles some for years we are not able to catch enough fish to consume. fisherman can put a deposit on a trip and pay in full before they leave on charters. some are very reasonable and some are quite expensive. The Price per day is unreal. Very cheap, when you consider all you live with, is 5 star, across the board. If you did this, on a day basis, from a 5 Star, luxury resort, their fees and day prices would smother the long range costs. This is the better deal, all the way across the board.
