I think adventure is a natural shell for this deck. The ashened restrictions don't stop them and the trap let's you take the dark knight you give your opponent after bouncing cards.

The flavour and theme are cool, at least. Veidos destroys the city, and summons itself to opp field. Then you get to search one of the members belonging to the destroyed city to fight against Veidos, just like the lore. Spell shows Veidos waking up and even grabs you the field spell for it to destroy, and then the trap is Veidos actually destroying Obsidim. The art is sick, too. I really hope this archetype becomes competitive one day (coping out of my mind lmao).

To be honest, i expected Priestess to be the searcher but i thought it would be a lvl1 FIRE Pyro while all the rest all also FIRE and not DARK. At least they weren't pushing Snake-Eye that much -only Bonfire- I don't remember anything wild about Pyro specifically, but Electro Gunner can chainblock the lvl4 and dump King from the deck (sadge Promethean won't work) while also making an easy Rank4 into Banshee that can search (or dump) another Pyro.

Best combo with the quick spell: - place field on opp field - search veidos - veidos pop field to summon and search - field eff to special king from deck - king eff to special priestess from deck - priestess search field spell - activate field spell - set the Trap - ep eff to put back field spell and draw 1

I could see this being a fun casual deck. If it gets a second wave of support that is good. Maybe it breaks into rouge. But there is no way this becomes a tiered deck. Based on what we have so far.

Here's a recommedation for ya DBGrinder: Arguably Lava Golem will be a must for this deck's side. Not only does this deck seem to have synergy with Kaijus in general, thanks to the Trap you can take back any monster you owned. Lava Golem is probably the best fit here, since all of the Ashened can SS themselves, and Lava Golem doesn't just get rid of a problematic monster (like say, Baronne De Fleur), but it can also send Veidos to the GY. In sequence, Veidos will trigger after being sent to GY to nuke the whole field. Cool tech choice for the deck. Does this make it competitively relevant though? Aww hecks nahh

Quick Play into Field into Veidos (can also search Volcanic Queen) Veidos pop Field summon itself, add or set trap, then field spell summon hero pop Veidos into field, Veidos wide board. EP field draw 1. Next turn ttap eff lets you add Veidos or Hero and go from there. . Not bad I think. Also vs Fire King ghe quick play can out Island and force it to pop thei field bypassing sanctiary.

This is just the premiere of the Archetype. Second wave of Ashened should have more support when that comes. It'll be better to run this Archetype as an Assist Archetype for a decent main Archetype for now until that Second Wave comes.

Konami is such a troll. They know how to make a good TCG exclusive archetype. Instead, they want to juice the casuals by releasing a archetype with nice artwork and works with other cards from another set to sell that set even more.

It's horrible. The best card locks you to pyro from deck/extra and the payoff is basically dark hole with a lot of bricks on the way. Because of pyro lock I'm not sure you would want to play this in any engine.
