3:00 HOW did you not lose Dorothys shoes?! Those were always the first to go for me lol 3:05 that is from the 1998 Trevco Dorothy! 9:13 I am so envious of the Bratz stuff. The quality and details! I loved how well played with all of them are. I mean not for resell value lol but that isn't the point. I just imagine them in Barbie Land looking like that lol

Late comment but thanks for making this video. As someone who used to play with my sister's dolls and girl toys as a kid but was embarrassed to really collect them myself, I've now got to the point where I'm starting to collect cute toys and dolls again to bring myself joy. It's validating to see other adults like yourself doing the same and finding joy in it. Congrats on reclaiming your childhood toys and looking forward to your other videos x

the little dog wigs brought back memories. so as i was growing up I made this custom doll based on this woman from a film who had this awesome bedroon that was the size of a ball room and parts of it was hidden with fancy screenings and vine carved seperaters. near her silver vanity was not one not two but 18 wigs. i paused framed and literally counted them. she had them stacked somehow on fancy heads that made it look like they were tiered but were literally on the same large table. i was so obssessed with this character that i used what materials i had from fancy sewing thread to discarded doll hair and i made a ton of wigs in a variety of hair styles all in the same color or close to it since half of them was sewing thread. Let's just say that doll got a lot of love and spoiling. but the bag of wigs reminded me of that doll i had.

@@dolls2remember I do, Kate blanchette played her it was called Elizabeth: the golden age. Her bed room was amazing in that room there was only a few scenes but there was some deleted scenes where the room was shown again she not only had her wigs out but this woman also has a closet of manniquins with all her fancy dresses. Theses this cute scene where she's getting dressed and all these women are helping her get dressed. Bet scenes ever unfortunately super short but the best in the film.

You have a lot of candidates for makeovers. Also those stains on the Mary-Kate doll's face can be removed with pimple cream. There's a bunch of tutorials on youtube on how to do it, and I swear by it. It always works

Oh I envy you so much, I didn’t have a single thing you pulled out of the box, but I did have similar memories shared with my Hannah Montana dolls, my Barbie dolls, and my cowgirl Bratz dolls. Oh how I long for my toys from when I was younger, life has been so difficult lately and I have really been seeking the comfort of my childhood. I used to make wigs too lol. And cut my Barbie hair, and alter the cloths.. my grandmother went nuts on me when I was 12 or 13 and bagged up every single doll I had regardless of my begs, and she threw them away and dared me to get another one. I don’t think I ever really forgave her for that. Thanks for posting, it’s a comfort to see a boy like me, share the love in his eyes for his childhood toys. Your parents are great. You’re so blessed

@@dolls2remember :) yea, I’ve since started to collect some. It’s a comfort really. A person would be amazed how much unlocking a childhood comfort, can really in a way heal a soul. The makers of these toys really don’t understand the impact loving these products can have on a person. I remember vividly, id scalp my Barbie’s and cut their head and the hair off to make a “wig” and I’d scalp face molds and fix the hair to sit on top of the heads as I pleased lol. It was wild. But you’re right. I’m definitely a new fan of yours, you’re a beautiful person. I commend you. Thanks for being so kind.

It's sad that one of the things a lot of us adult collectors share is trauma over having to feel ashamed over the hobby. While I think it helps us appreciate them more now, it definitely breeds a new problem of us overcompensating. Anyway, the Tin Man is so cute! 😭😭😭 I got both releases of him not too long ago. I used to modify my poor dolls too. I still have some of the clothes and they're in similar shape lmao. Cars are such a weakness. They're super cute but way too big. 😭 The staining is pretty easy to fix with peroxide, thankfully. I reversed a Sharpie beard on a Great Shape Ken with benzoyl peroxide and a string of sunny days a few weeks ago. It'd be really cute if you rerooted the MK&A doll with darker hair! There's a lot you could do with all of them now. I feel like they'd look cute with pink-toned hair (like a melon color) or maybe one with dark dramatic makeup. Wow, I never knew they made Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi dolls. I loved them too as a kid, haha. The bent plastic pieces should respond well to boiling water if they don't wanna go back into place. They usually pop back to their original shape within a few seconds. I put them in the freezer right after just to lock them in place. Idk if that does anything, but it makes me feel better. Aaaa those Barbie wind-up accessories! We had a couple as a kid and I want them again. The wedding Barbie looks a lot like Grace Kelly. I have a Spring Zing Barbie from '99 that has the ballerina feet, so she's probably another basic Barbie from around that era.

Aw thanks so much for the response!!!! You are so right about the shame/trauma, but yes thankfully now we can be a little more unapologetically authentic! Haha did you have the other Oz characters or only tin man?? And yes I’ve been testing out the peroxide and it seems to work!!!! Yay! And I am excited to learn how to reroot. Hi hi puffy ami yumi were soooo cool !!! And thank you about fixing the bent plastic! I will try that!!!! You’re the best! I appreciate you so much!!! Xoxo
