The second switch press and hold is great for self defense when you want to confuse or distract a person. Awesome flashlight with great interface.

Ok i think this light is pretty damn cool! But as a newborn flashlight rookie, i hope some can tell me if the usb charging system is working like a smart charging system or will it just keep pounding the battery with electrons after it´s fully charged?

I have the xt11s I got it a few days ago but one time it turned on in my pocket and I only noticed it when I felt my leg burning

I normally wouldn't like proprietary chargers... but that is pretty dang cool. I don't like that battery though. There are already lights like this that can charge ANY 18650 in the light. I guess if you are a person who only has one light this isn't a big deal.

There are a lot of lights that have come out recently that can charge 18650's in the light via micro usb or a proprietary port. Check out these different companies as there are a lot of them out there: Fenix, Olight, Klarus, Jetbeam, Eagletac, Armytek. Check out candlepowerforums if you want to REALLY get into high quality flashlights. It's the biggest flashlight/lighting/led/incandescent/etc. forum on the internet.

Would you recommend this as an EDC? Or would the XT11 be better for that? I know the XT12 is a bit bigger but I like the strobe button feature and the rechargeable system.

+jamilthemaster I''ve EDC'ed this light for the past month or so and it's very comfortable in a pocket. that being said i wear slightly baggier jeans generally, so as long as yours aren't' skintight you''ll be fine in that regard. the one gripe i have though is getting out of a car, i notice sometimes the pocket clip can detach itself if you have it mounted on your belt or pocket with the flashlight on the outside of your pocket (strange, but i like the accessibility sometimes). If that's no issue for you, i can't recommend it more. Any other questions, feel free to ask

I've since purchased this light and I love it, but I haven't been able to EDC it comfortably. I don't wear skintight jeans but they're not exceptionally baggy. I have had great use out of this light in other situations though like camping and working on my car at night, i've since just left it in my car. I bought the xt11 as well and its still too big to EDC for me but if someone were to have to choose between the 2 the xt11 is a lot easier to carry I'd say. Even if you can't pocket carry, the small nylon holster is perfect.

Why do Klarus dual polarity batteries have a 300-cycle battery life while everyone else has 500-cycle battery life? For such expensive batteries, it seems like a rip-off. Also, can the Klarus lights go to 70 feet underwater like the Nitecore and Olight lights?

Will the Klarus "extended tactical bezel" fit on this??? I have it on my XT11, but won't purchase this XT12 unless I can transfer it to the XT12.

Does the Aggressive Strike Bezel and the Color filters fit the XT12GT? Or is there ones available that fit the GT?

I have an original XT11. The rubber boot on the tail cap has started to split. 1st question, can I order the new tail cap with the hard switch for my old xt11? 2nd, if not can I order a replacement rubber boot?

they should implement popular charging port like the micro usb like all those rechargeable lights from nitecore. we can just use our phone chargers or powerbank to recharge them. bad design from my opinion.

No thanks. I already have a Nitecore charger. Klarus needs to put a smallerish LED. This rechargeable function just adds weight and makes it less waterproof and makes the light more bulky. I was thinking of upgrading my XT11 but I really hate this light with the charge port.

***** Yes. I have the XT-11 with the XML U2. I would have liked to upgrade to this slightly brighter XT12 but I hate lights with integrated charging features. Are we so lazy that we don't want to take a battery out and charge it? Plus Klarus lights are a bit too floody with my experience especially with my cities LED street lights. I think I might get a Olight M22. You can go to instant strobe with the side button on the M22 right? Any idea when a M23 will be out?
