Different for metal yes. Which is stupid, the bass should never be tied the guitar. If the guitar and drums aren't locked in for a part, the bass follows the drums. It is not there just to make guitars heavier. That thinking is creatively limiting and needs to die.

I have no words for that outro, oh my dear God, It's so heavenly & that bass just digs deep! When I first heard this song I was in awe, thinking ''How can an outro be so spectacular!?'' Gojira are a truly gifted group of French men!

The end of this song remember me of Opeth. The old Opeth, more precisely My Arms Your Hearse! I started crying, Opeth was the band of my life. I don't know if Gojira likes them, but damm. The end of this song give me the feels

You know I have been studying astrology for a few years and this whole album accept for sphinx is completely saturnian.... We just came into the age of aquarius dec 20 2020 and then saturn moved into aquarius on april or may I think (if I remember correctly) saturn was in capricorn for three years before that.... Just I noticed the influence. This is literally the age of saturn..... Hasn't been this strong for thousands and thousands of years. They are very intuitive to the times. Death, decay, restructure to stability, resolution.... This album is saturn embodied.
