@Big Homie Steve The Metal Head Absolutely, its unique from all their other albums in the energy expended on melody and atmosphere. Magma crawled so Fortitude could run (yes I know that's not how it typically goes).

@Big Homie Steve The Metal Head Absolutely!! They've taken elements from every one of their releases on this album. Then peppered in homage elements from their inspirations like Sepultura, Mastodon and Rammstein. The evolution of this band is the type rarely seen.

2:39 The bass here is perfect, not just because you can hear it, is not following the guitar, it's actually doing his own melody and the guitar it's all around completing the picture, a really different way to write a bass line.
@cavanray6742
@cavanray6742 3 жыл бұрын
Different for metal yes. Which is stupid, the bass should never be tied the guitar. If the guitar and drums aren't locked in for a part, the bass follows the drums. It is not there just to make guitars heavier. That thinking is creatively limiting and needs to die.

Everything about the Grammy's is a literal joke. I don't even know if I'd want a Grammy. Winning a Grammy just means you can sell Pepsi with your music. Y'know, bands that have a signature technique or even "gimmick" if you want to be harsh, you tend to grow tired of. Yet, Gojira scrapes are something I just never grow tired of. Even when they pin a Riff on them and it feels a bit predictable...still awesome. Every time. Ditto for the ways they always used open-string Tapping in different ways for Riffs or Melodies.

You know I have been studying astrology for a few years and this whole album accept for sphinx is completely saturnian.... We just came into the age of aquarius dec 20 2020 and then saturn moved into aquarius on april or may I think (if I remember correctly) saturn was in capricorn for three years before that.... Just I noticed the influence. This is literally the age of saturn..... Hasn't been this strong for thousands and thousands of years. They are very intuitive to the times. Death, decay, restructure to stability, resolution.... This album is saturn embodied.
