"I saw.... (double bass hittin') I saw MONSTERS..." Just phenomenal. This outro is one of their best idea. When hypnotic riffs last so long, you end up being the monster

Its like Joe isn't speaking a to a crowd of fans when he says that. Its feels much more personal than that. The hair on my neck stands up when I hear him bellow those words into the void. "I saw monsters, and I start to dig within."

Dude, this is EXACTLY what I felt inside, when I saw my first Gojira show in Belgium! I couldn't speak, because I was being turned into a savage animal, but these thoughts you have about their music... It's the same man. Exactly the same. It was in 2009, and a schoolmate I randomly met there, dragged me to their show. He said "Fuck whatever you're doing, you HAVE to see this band!", and that was the end of the old me XD I've changed a lot since then, and I've tried my best to go to every single concert I was able to. I think I might have skipped 1 or 2 shows. They have influenced my taste in music, my view on the world and life itself... I think I might just be one of those crazy motherfuckers that you've been talking about XD

Imagine this riff in the endings of one episode of the latest Game of Thrones season, it would be pure madness IMHO. I love this song so much, and not only because I grew up less than 2km form the Duplantier family home, “From Mars to Sirius” literally dragged me back into metal You should live their concerts at home - small venue cause we're not London or Seattle, very far from that! - but holy sh... those guys have such a talent to feel the crowd, very special, and their sound engineers are so brilliant. Jean-Michel Labadie - the bassist - loves to go crazy in particular, sometimes literally jumping into the crowd at 43 BTW, so badass. I fucking love them as much as I loved Slayer when I was teen 30 years ago, and TBH very proud to come from the exact same place as them, crossing Christian or Jean-Michel path once a while. That stupid smile on my face and that thrill every time I’m listening to many of their songs, nothing can beat that. Thank you so much Truant, always a pleasure to see your videos though I discovered your chan less than a week ago TBH! \m/

In my opinion, gojira captures everything a good metal song can be. Either it has an intro long enough to make the drop even more satisfying, or they blow your fucking ear drums out in the first 4 seconds. Powerful, melodic vocals, with a real message, and most of all, the ability to make a great show.

Another insanely heavy song is from Magma called Pray. Probably my favorite from that album. And definitely check out The Art of Dying. It is one of my top 5 Gojira songs.
