That “solo” is Gojira’s famous fret tapping! And the song is about being a meat eater and how the meat industry is committing animal genocide .. Joe is a vegan .. you called it about their music having a strong message. Do Oroborus!!! That song is one of their best TRUST ME Hoop!!

The song is not about meat eaters. It's about how we damage the environment, the world. How people put their heads in the sand, being ignorant. For example, he sings: dead bodies falling from the sky. It means birds are dying cuz of the pollution.

@@karljans4807 there are heavy references to veganism, "no other blood in me but mine" being the most obvious. Also I don't think it's a matter of either or, but rather, it's an environmentalist song (like many of theirs), but this one touches particularly on the meat industry. It's not like his veganism is unrelated to his environmentalism, I mean, I eat meat but I am aware that most scientists agree that the way and the rate at which we consume meat is one of the big factors in destroying the planet.

@@agentwrench I agree that we should change our meat consumption. As a meat eater myself, I understand this. We need to change how we take care of animals while they are alive. Their wellbeing is indeed important. But I don't agree that this song is about veganism. Yes, he says about no other blood in me but mine. But I don't interpret that as the meaning but rather as an example of him changing himself to change the world. The whole video, visually, is about being ignorant while consuming so much media while we waste water, food and spend so much time and war on oil. We literally put our face in it like it's shown in the video. But yeah, this is my interpretation. Anyway, have a nice day m8 :)

Fuck yes, Gojira is so great, Esoteric surgery is probably my favorite by them. I'ts so hard to play they don't even do it live. Also there's 2 As I lay dying song I always wanted to see you react to eventually and I know you will LOVE em, it's ''Paralyzed'' and ''Anger and Apathy'' the first one has a music video but not the other one
