I want to relive that moment when i found out about Gojira. 6 years later, i still love them as much as i did then. I’m not a metalhead at all, but they really do it differently. The thing is as well, you’ll start with the more popular ones, than click on some more ‘random ‘ tracks like Explosia and oroborus in my case, and at first, it didn’t do much to me. But than with months, years, time passes by. You’re more familiar with them, and those songs will grow on you, it’s a rather slow process, but once you get it, you almost wont get bored of them. Really strange. Other thing is how many phases they had. From heavy death metal all the way to some more proggy death metal. It’s awesome. The amount of riffs they have in their catalogue is ridiculous, Terra incognita in just filled with epic riffs. Next track i’d like to learn, is the Title track The way of All flesh. Anyways, hope you’ll do more gojira! I read you were going to see them live, just remember these guys aren’t 25 anymore. They still put on a great show tho.

"Hardest part is the double string gallop" xD meanwhile here i had that down in minutes but cant do those bar chords for ****** 😂 what happens when your guitar playing is limited to playing your fav riffs and not actually knowing how to use the instruments and even that is thanks to your channel. ❤ Thanks for doing Gojira and i hope we get most their songs in here.

Any tips for the gallop? I can't seem to move quickly enough, at least not with precision. It's just an uncoordinated mess. Talking about the main riff, not even the fast gallops later on 🥲

@@athmaid im not an expert and its hard to explain but their gallop just doesnt sound like normal gallops from Maiden or Metallica etc...thats what was throwing me off. this is a bit more relentless on those 3 up and downs group to form a gallop. try to hit the 3 notes as fast with first one most pronounced, on the next group, just reset the whole motion fully and do the exact same one. repeat this till you get it down. maybe just do one gallop at a time. super quick 3 notes, pause, redo. maybe itd help
