It's one of those things that the more you do it, the easier it becomes. Don't give up. Try to only look up parts that you absolutely can't figure out. Over time it'll become natural.
@Antowam3

Frölunda! Anyways, you learn little tricks that make it easier. Its easier to think in harmony than in frets. That way the relations actually make sense. You only have 12 notes, the other octaves are just timbre. First note usually sets the scale. Minor major third? With that set the rest slots in much easier. If you're in a daw, try hipassing everything below 800 and add a bump around 2-5khz. Usually helps with making the tonality of the guitar easier to discern.

Love this series Ola, I’ve been playing guitar for 35 years and I’m still learning and this is how I learn new techniques and ideas! And you’re right when you say that the riffs don’t have to be super technical to be awesome! Gojiri are awesome at it! I can now go and try for myself. Thank you Ola for all your videos, one day I will own a Solar guitar, and that day is getting closer 🤘🤘

Warning: Do not attempt without viking beard and killer guitar. As for suggestions, how about some Fleshgod Apocalypse? Definitely some Cannibal Corpse too.

This is a good start to a what I think will be a very interesting series of videos, I hope it takes off, really like it! My request for next song would be either Leprous - Cryptogenic Desires, which is a fun one or Anaal Nathrakh - Do Not Speak.

I really enjoy the format but the most interesting thing is your reflection of the techniques used, for instance the explaining of the galloping since then I learn something too

it's a simple song to play.. it's also the very first complete song that I'd learnt..but it's hell lot of fun to play ..and I think that's the purpose of the whole spectrum 🍁
