Man, I've just started listening to GOJIRA in the last year, I'm 45, old school metal head, loved the great music of the 90's, unfortunately, I missed alot of music due to being incarcerated for almost the whole 2000's decade..First time hearing this band, I felt like a teenager again......NOW ONE OF MY TOP 3 of all time!!!! To all the people saying the crowd is lame: i did not know gojira before and i did not expected such an sudden burst of power straight into my face. And this was the Way of all flesh era, where they were a little bit heavier. Sometimes you just have to stand still, oberserving in awe. Had to cope and reflect several months, but now they're one of my top 5 of all time and TWOAF is an album that wasnt reached by anyone up to today. ❤

hertzer2000 It makes a huge difference when you're playing and see that the audience is going nuts. It's a positive feedback loop that just makes you feel better and play better and have a better time. If you're playing and giving your 110% and the audience is just standing there you begin to feel nervous, overthink it and get stressed out. Nobody is obligated to go crazy, but if your genuinely enjoying the show at least clap or headbang. Don't just stand there like you're having the worst time of your life.

@massivecunt82636 жыл бұрын
Gojira deserves far more hype than than that. The music is nothing generic and they're probably one of the most important band in metal or music right now. Perhaps it's not your thing that's all. But listen to art of dying or flying whales and tell me that's generic or weaker than max cavalera bro x)
@hinjurock6 жыл бұрын
I guess to metal fans in their 20's. Most metal fans over 30 and especially over 40 remember when metal was GREAT, not average. This band doesn't come close to Sabbath, Judas Priest, Metallica and Pantera as far as originality, song composition, musical skill, and especially vocals - this singer has no range, and all those drop-tuned riffs sound really similar. The drummer is really good - that's about it. The other dudes are painfully average.
@massivecunt82636 жыл бұрын
HinjuRock you're just deaf. When you talk shit like that you obviously don't know shit about metal or music in general. I'm 37 and when I read this I really can't understand how someone can say something like that. If you don't like this that's ok. But your arguments can't be serious. This band is far above average or greatness. Wtf are you high?
@hinjurock6 жыл бұрын
Vince metallix LOL Dude, I've been a metal fan since a year before I saw Iron Maiden open for Judas Priest in Albany, NY in 1981, when I was 11. I've been playing drums since 1983 and lead guitar since 1985, bass since the mid-90's, and singing lead vocals for my three original bands since the early 2000's. Are you seriously going to tell me that this singer is anywhere near the level of legendary hard rock/metal singers like Dio, Halford, Dickinson, Chris Cornell or Phil Anselmo in his prime? Or James Hetfield? Joey Belladonna? John Bush? Mark Osegueda? Bobby Blitz? Even Tom Araya? This guy has probably a half an octave vocal range (as opposed to most of the aforementioned singers who have 3 and a half to 4 octave ranges) Not even fucking close, dude. And are you going to tell me that his lead guitar playing is anywhere near the level of Glenn Tipton and KK Downing, Dave Murray and Adrian Smith, Randy Rhoads, Kirk Hammett, or Dimebag Darrell? Or that his rhythm playing is anywhere near the level of James Hetfield or Dave Mustaine? Once again, not even fucking close. If you think so, then YOU'RE the one who's high - like really high on bad drugs. Any metal guitarist who's been playing a year or two (or even six months) can play simple drop-tuned heavy riffs like this - it's easy as fuck. And any singer can sing growling death metal-style vocals in a limited range - once again, easy as fuck. I'll say it again - the drummer is the only member of this band who's above average. Show me a Gojira song that has an amazing guitar solo, complex riffs or great vocals - I dare you.
@massivecunt82636 жыл бұрын
HinjuRock yes i will say it again because me and many of my fruends have been playing for years and we can debunk your arguments. But it would be useless since you would probably always says the same thing without real arguments so I rest my case. This band is just not for you and that's fine. But your reasoning is full of shit. Go listen to art of dying. He has more vocal range than any band you've mentionned. Please ozzy osbourne has the same voice in interviews as when he's singing. Same thing for metallica. Joe has to work a lot harder. Also metallica loves gojira just saying. And many older bands admire them. Gojira is not about guitar solo. They are capable of playing very technical rythms. See global warming, silvera tapping solo or remembrance. They jusr don't need to play every single note to make an original song. Also joe duplantier has to sing, growl and screams using a very hard technique while playing guitar, and not simple riffs. I don't remember ozzy osbourne, phil anselmo or bruce dickinson doing this. And I love all of these bands. So show some respect even if you don't like it or understand the hype.
