How is no one talking about how great tbe soundtrack is to this scene!? The hyper drums mixed with irregular intervals of piano notes played seemigly randomly is such a good reflextion on Gojos mind during the domain exansion. The stress, the gamble, the soundtrack reflects that instrad of the increadable feat Gojo pulled off. This paired with the narrator speaking calmly and logically that contrast the stressed Gojo acting on a gut feeling and how Gojo is out of breath after, showing he used 110%, makes this such a great scene. Easily my favorite if the season.

I know all of us will say it's the best choice if he did not care of those humans 😂 but that will be too predictable and I think Gege Akutami wanted to show Gojo's ability to kill 1.000 transfigured humans in 299 seconds (3 per second) among crowded train platform and many normal humans, we saw him doing things that set him apart from other sorcerers.

If Gojo killed patchface, volcanohead and the dude on his monthly cycle instead of all the trash monsters, he could have just as easily killed the other monsters later, saved a lot more people, saved himself, saved most of the other sorcerors, skipped the drama of the next 15 episodes...... Even if he got trapped in the discount beholder, all the other sorcerors would have been able to actually make it to him without being hindered and sent on a trip to Belise by those three. Just makes you wonder why he didn't just do that instead. Could have just as easily dispatched the big shots as he would have the trash while they were locked in his domain expansion... Like they were all out for more than 5 minutes - unless the translation is wrong and he dispatched the 1000 transformed humans in 0.299 of a second (which is how long he made his infinite void last) - though point still remains in that case.

The max amount of time he estimated that he could expose non-sorcerers to his DE without lobotomizing them is 0.2 seconds 2. He managed to wipe out all the transfigured humans in 299 seconds. 3.
