Having some advanced understanding of mathematics due to studying physics, I was blown away by Gojo’s power. You need to complete a supertask to hit him while he can diverge his position to move at extremely high speed. Realistically, nothing should be able to beat him. Infinity is just too versatile.

@@kingmuizz708 I can certainly try. So Gojo mentioned an infinity in between him and Jogo. And that Jogo’s hand moves slower and slower the closer it gets to Gojo. This is very similar to Zeno’s paradox, which is about convergence, and my guess is it’s the inspiration for Gojo’s power. Slowing down just means covering less distance per a unit of time, simple enough. Let’s say Jogo and Gojo are 2 metres apart. Jogo goes to hit Gojo and moves 1 metre towards him in 1 second. He then slows down so that he moves only half a metre in the next second, and then a quarter of a metre in the next second, then an eighth, sixteenth, so on and so on. He will first have moved 1 metre in total. Then 1.5 m Then 1.75 m Then 1.875 m Then 1.9375 m etc. We can see that the total distance covered will approach 2 metres, but never actually become 2 metres. Unless! Jogo keeps going on for an infinite amount of seconds. (Which of course means Gojo will have died of old age) Only then will the total distance covered be 2 metres and they will make contact. Or to put it differently, Jogo has to make and infinite amount of steps, each step smaller than the previous one to reach Gojo. That’s the infinity Gojo is referring to. In math, a task that involves an infinite amount of steps is called a supertask, and they are of course purely theoretical. (But extremely important in nearly all fields of mathematics) We can write this out as a math sum 1+(1/2)+(1/4)+(1/8) . . . = 2 (‘. . .’ Means an infinite amount of steps) We say that the infinite sum of 1/2^n converges on 2 for n = {0,1,2,3,4 . . .} If we take another infinite sum, let’s say 1+2+3+4 . . . We clearly see that this infinite sum doesn’t converge to a real value. We in math then say that the sum diverges. Which is how I interpret Gojo’s movement. Every step he moves more distance, or to put it back in our original terminology. He moves faster and faster, explaining his crazy speed and power. This is only my interpretation of Gojo’s power but I think I’m close to what the creators intended.

for those confused about gojo's powers let me explain infinity = the already existing mass that's created from the universe that allows the user to slow down the closer they get to gojo , think of it like a time line you have 0 -1 , between 0 and 1 there can be an infinite amount of fractions you can add between the numbers 0 and 1 , ( 0/1 , 0/2 , 0/3 , or even 0/10000000 etc.) the closer you get to gojo the slower you potentially get, therefore you'll never truly be able to touch him , because there will always be an infinite amount of space between gojo and another person. cursed technique reversal: Red = is the culmination of negative energy that's exerted in reverse, turning it into positive cursed energy, pushing space or mass outwards. think of it as a magnet, one side attracts, while another side repels , think of cursed technique : red , as the side of the magnet that pushes matter away from gojo at a great force

though that explanation makes sense for the anime its not truly how infinity fractions works. Take for instance this sum : ( 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + 1/16...) though the numbers keep getting smaller and smaller to infinity that will add up to 1. On the Gojo example. Think about a light bulb, it starts as off and you turn on and off. You start waiting for 0.5 seconds before switching, after that you reduce the interval you need to wait by 2^n ( 2 to the n power with n increasing by 1 each time), and you keep doing that until 1 second passes. You can't tell if the bulb will end up on or off or how many times its going to blink but you can be absolute certain that 1 second is going to pass as it normally should. My point here is that time does not slow down at all when dealing with infinity fractions like those. The concept is super cool and I get that what Gojo is doing is bringing infinity forth to reality by creating an infinity amount of distance someone needs to travel to get to him the closer they get.

This series is perfect in terms of actually having senior characters more powerful than their juniors, and that the premise is to take out the more powerful characters rather than having protagonists being too op that they can deal with problems themselves all the time

It's just that Gojo is an exceptional case, though there are cases of juniors being more powerful than seniors in this series, not gonna spoil that, but just keep in mind that the Subject in question has a lot to do on the competence of their own cursed technique in use. Creativity, intelligence prowess and strategical skills all take a fundamental roles in battles, even the amount of knowledge could offer certainly a power-up, so it's not just predetermined by the amout of cursed energy the person owns or how much experience does he has, unless it's just plain broken. With the case of Gojou, it's just that he's a physician and a mathematic genius, so he became broken, even if it's not like he was weak at birth at all, but certainly would not be literally untouchable like he is now.
