This is still in my opinion, the best character introduction, in all of anime. They’ve hyped Madara up ever since the show began. And he came right out the gate and boxed the entire Shinobi alliance. The hype lived up to and in some ways exceeded.

Being 2023 not enough people will truly understand how unbelievable this moment was. Madara was HYPED up for YEARS and so many people doubted him and called him a fraud for YEARS. There was like a stretch of 2-3 years of people calling Madara a fraud and for him to come in and do this absolutely shut everyone down. Bro came in and over delivered. I’d argue that’s a pretty important aspect of his character. The way he loved to fight Hashirama was damn near an obsession for him. He was raised on the battlefield. Experienced every emotion he probably ever felt, on the battlefield. Reminds me of soldiers who can’t be content at home after war. On the flip side, he fights so calmly because he is 100% convinced that he is in the right. The Infinite Tsukuyomi was his ultimate solution for world peace. For no more children dying on the battlefield. Yet he effortlessly murders many peoples children during this fight. Madara is a very interesting character.

We all knew he was one of the strongest in series but god damn this intro into what he really was and just how beneath everyone else was is something else entirely. the way he just casually hit them without even trying man. Still one of the best if not the best reveal of any anime character ever.
