I never played the old DBZ games, but I’m really impressed with the way the tenkaichi 3 looks and holds up. With DBZK u expect amazing graphics gameplay and cinematics because it’s a next gen console. It’s to be expected. The fact that this old ps2 game looks so fire, even today, is truly a testament to the developers of the older games. I have an old ps2, perhaps I’ll have to pick up this old gem at some point 👌

Vortex Budokai Tenkaichi 3 had very good gameplay but the story is pretty bad, it can’t be denied. The soundtrack, the fact it’s 3D instead of 2D, and roster is up to opinion. Some people like 2D fighters instead for the fast-paced fighting, others like 3D for the freedom of movement. Some prefer a smaller roster with unique playstyles for each character, while others like to have a larger roster with a wide variety of character choice, even if they may all play relatively the same.

Also the damage was equal to fully charged beam blasts which didnt make sense. Bt3 one nerfed it and wasnt scary, you could dodge it just by dashing. And the homing was weak, once it passed you it wont fling back like a boomerang to hit you like in Bt2. But yes Bt2 was really nightmarush

I've been a big fan of bt3 since its release and I'm still playing it to this day, but dragon ball kakarot is a masterpiece nevertheless, the two games just doesn't offer the same type of content, bt3 offers you the best experience there is when it comes to combat, with basically all the characters, transformations and attacks we've seen in the anime, while with kakarot, it's all about the adventure, which is actually a very brilliant idea that was executed magnificently and I never though such a dragon ball game would see the day. So basically the two games were made with a lot of love and we should give them both credit for that and not bring down one of them just for the sake of nostalgia

For the people that want a tenkaichi 3 remaster don't even think about it if they make a remaster today it would have only goku vegeta and gohan as playable characters if you want the WHOLE characters then you would have to buy DLC's each month for each character because that's how it works now a days for some reason so let's just keep our childhood saved and just keep playing the classic one cuz is perfect as it is

The big problem with DBZK graphics imo are the gradient filters and blur effects, they totally ruin the sharpeness of the visuals, for example 4:10 wtf it looks like suddenly its night

Don't wanna play smart but having played all 3 tenkaichi games in ps2 and being a fan of both the games and the series (not the 2015 continuation) for a long long time i think tenkaichi is unmatched and is by far the most accurately enjoyable DBZ fight representation to date.. zooms in at the right moments the moves look both powerful and easy to use they are also very enjoyable if you succeed in applying them on the enemy and flow very smoothly. DBK is polished and all im sure it has its great moments but gameplay-wise DBZT is superior. Having said that i pray we see an exact sequel to the tenkaichi series someday.

The ki charge aura animations and particules are so damn well made, i could watch it for hours truly it represents well the evilness, the fury or even the pure heart of the one who charges it, compare the purple aura of explorer vegeta and mid vegeta on bt3 its so well done!

ki charging particles in BT3 are even more coerent than the Kakarot... Ki attacks's colision also has more variety and seems to be much cooler. Kakarot has not improved too much, only the graphics are better. BT3 deserves a Full HD remaster, yes.

It’s because they save the more powerful looking stuff for surge. When you search it does a little animation that looks way more powerful than the regular transformation. But I do agree that the transformation themselves could look a little more powerful

I still have my DB:BT3 CD for my PS2 since I was young, I really loved this game. It has the most satisfying combat and quality for a PS2 game.
