Hello everyone, I am the artist of this story. It was based on my best friend's old role-play idea and I suddenly drew chapter 1 on impulse. I never thought it would be loved by so many people! I appreciate all your comments and I cannot be thankful enough! Thank you Mondo Cool for making this video too! I am sorry that I have stopped drawing the story. We already planned a lot, all the way up to Super arcs. But at the time I was drawing Chapter 6, I was having trouble not with just money, but also my family hating me being an artist. I couldn't draw with the constant nagging. It really destroyed my mood. I had to get a full-time job as a teacher, then the mean-spirited working environment got me depressed. During this time whenever my friend mention the comic, or I check Tumblr and saw people enjoying it, I felt happy but so stressed and couldn't bring myself to draw anything. Hence the drawing stopped. I recently quit that job and found another job as a colorist out of pure luck. Even though this job pays little still, I am very happy now. Sadly, I can't say for sure I will come back to this because I am working on original comics at the moment. I thank you all again for all the love you guys showed for this comic. I love you all ;v;

I only just found this video, but I love the way the story played out overall. I like the idea of characters like raditz, launch, bardock, and gine actually being properly utilized instead of simply being cast aside, forgotten, or fade into the background. If you do decide to continue the story, I can guarantee I'll read every chapter (even if there's filler). However, if you don't want to continue it, or are unable to do so, then that's your decision as the author. Do what makes YOU happy, that's about all I can really say and I hope you take care of yourself whatever you decide to do.

Nikikeya here. Yes the "wanting to punch someone" was Raditz's emotions bleeding over into Goku. Goku is more open with his emotions, so the bond effects him much earlier on, and much stronger than it does Raditz, whose very closed off. Which is also why Goku cries whenever Raditz is feeling sad. It's Raditz's tears.

SO WHEN IS PART 2 CAUSE I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS STORY but little nitpicking here most the sayian Royal guard 2950 power level around King Vegeta Era of rule Raditz is both the smartest and best battle strategist among the surviving Saiyans with a cap off 2100 Raditz power level would be at least able to take one by himself not to mention if he use the "Begone" his power level times by 10 just like bardocks when he use the "Final revenge" that both attack tap into the oozaru state so Raditz if desperate enough to actually take all them on but mostly like after the battle would completely vulnerable after the battle

...so here's a question.... Which bardock are we following... The super Saiyan that went back and made the legend bardock.... The bardock that died from frieza and was just stronger than most saiyans ... Not that it matters but super Saiyan bardock even in base wouldn't find any of this remotely challenging... And this would make for an interesting son gokus full family branch off where you'd have stubborn bardock who never really let's go of his gaurd.

Nikikeya here. This is the Father of Goku version of Bardock. At the time I wrote the original fanfiction this comic is based on, that was the only version of the characters there was, and he's personally my favorite so we kept him that version. Though we did add in Gine from DBZ Minus, as we like her. And so no, this Bardock cannot go Ssj.

Gokus immensely weak in his first outing and technically was in heaven he just got to keep his body... I might be reading too much but it's just a though as to why bardock couldn't... Yet Vegeta for the janemba fight could... Since he was strong enough to hold it.... Bardock probably and realistically never used ssj form again... Chilled was his only true threat after all

Author here: Bardock's bandana is more of a symbolic thing, it had more meaning to him when he died, (As it was Toma's, and soaked in his and the others blood.) which is why his spirit is shown with it on. Its just an impression of the bandana imprinted on his soul. The head canon is that saiyans will wear blood stained articles on themselves in rememberance of fallen comrads or family. Thats also why Raditz's armband changed from the Manga canon color of silver, to blood red, as in this story he wears the arm and leg band in memory of Bardock(leg band) and Gine (armband). Originally Vivi didn't know that I wanted it red, and was just going by the manga color. Goku's tail is a part of him, it may have been cut off his physical body, but it is still imprinted on his soul. As for the scouter. I don't think Raditz would have had that close an attachment to it as he did the arm and legbands. like wise an imprint wouldn't actually work like a real scouter, it would just be cosmetic. But don't worry, him not having it was a deliberate, choice so that he would have to learn to rely on Goku, and eventually be taught by him to sense powerlevels himself.

(Nikikeya the author here) Its a stylistic choice on my and Vivi's part, we both like the Saiyans having tails, and so decided to bring them back. So in DBZMBIS Goku and the other Saiyans and Half Saiyans are going to keep their tails. As its always been the unique key feature of the Saiyan Race. In this case when his body was healed in Otherworld, his tail was restored as well.
