Standard is better and easier. Hold R1 and hit circle before the hit lands or while you are in a block animation. If it doesn't do sonic sway, you will get perception. Sonic sway only happens if your opponent is doing a rush chain.

@@lancesterling8447 It is. I tried standard and switched to classic because I've been playing BT3 on the emulator and I notice how worse it is. The older games didnt have all of these defensive strategies so it becomes more of inconvenience trying to perform specific moves. Now if they had gave you full control on being able to remap everything then that would be a different story.

21:20 The change and transformations are linked with the same timer. On the top left if that yellow diamond is full, you can do either of those two things, that's the timer you have to look out for. Since you transformed frame 1 into Roshi, you couldn't then swap

I haven't played, but i think there is a setting that helps you block, some "assist" thing. I watched a short saying it can mess with your parry/dodge timing, forcing you to block as priority over complex inputs. Something about the controller scheme too. Hope this at least help you find info on the dodge thing

Argin, if you look at the top left, the yellow and black diamond symbol is the universal switch cooldown. Switching characters and changing form share the same cooldown. Once you transform you have to wait for the icon to fill back up to switch characters and vice versa.

You can only swap characters when that yellow diamond under your health bar is full. I believe you need a skill point as well

Argin I dont know if you know already, but for Rose Goku Black, if you do Square 3 times and Triangle, you can flip your opponent around to make combos easier

1:52 you dont press triangle and circle at the same time you have to be blocking first. So when you hold circle and are blocking a rush combo then you press triangle while still holding circle to use it

Are you using Classic or Standard? If you're using Classic, its Triangle while guarding (Circle). If you're using Standard, it's Circle while guarding (R1). And you have to TIME it with the enemies hits. Which is difficult at times. Also, don't use guard assist. It makes EVERY defensive option other than blocking nearly impossible.

I think you have to be Rose when you fuse as you can’t fuse if the two characters don’t have the proper transformations active

Nobody implements the switch in their combos. You can literally switch and keep your combo going. And you can transform and continue pressure or your combo.

You probably haven’t seen any hard characters yet because the game hasn’t fully launched yet. The only people who are playing rn are the people who either really love dragon ball or can afford it early. On launch you’ll see the tryhards and cheesy characters surface, after watching KZbin videos on this game for the past 3 days. Personally I haven’t gone against anyone scummy yet and I been playing a lot of ranked
