Goku Black twitter guy here. Some additional notes for everyone else: ■ He can SJ Install for his Instant Transmission in one of 3 places: - Easy: from neutral, you can Tiger Knee the IT directly 2147H (3f window) - Medium: staggering, or the landing lag of j.S, gives a buffer for the SJ (1~2f button timing + 4f SJ buffer) - Hard: directly do 2, 8+L at the start of a blockstring (1 frame link, hitbox makes it look easy) ■ If they respect you, Goku Black can threaten all 4 corners with SJ Install float mixup ■ Black doesn't need SJ Install to mix, but it upgrades his existing mix. Options that don't need SJ Install: - Base Goku A specifically, it works out that IT + Assist -> land -> 5L hits the same frame as a delayed j.44H - Most other assists can do j.66S 214H to crossup mix, or a delayed j.H for same side - Some assists (Beams, TGohan A, Zamasu B, Janemba B, Blueku B) get unique pushback setups - High blockstun (Bardock B, Jiren A) give Black a high/low without EX Transmission. Empty 2M vs. late j.66M - And of course, the universal (corner only) SD + Assist mix.

@@mo8324 Some assists have exactly the right amount of pushback so that you can time 214H + Assist -> j.H to hit either same side or crossup, without needing SJ Install nor an airdash. They're unique because they're very assist-specific. TGohan A is probably the best of the lot because he makes 214L + assist -> j.66M hit crossup (last I checked in s3.0 patch)

Characters have far better 50/50s for free and with much easier access. This mixup has been known about for a while. There’s really nothing left to learn about him at this point. He needs buffs, more than any other character. I honestly think he needs a whole rework not even a buff

I think this explains an issue I sometimes experienced with Jiren combos where I'd cancel a jM into jS and then superdash to follow up but only get superdash instead (which leads to the combo dropping) because the inputs would show a lonely S and then HS but the S canceled into superdash instead. Somebody get this man some buffs. It's not even that he's bad, it's just that every other character has more options offensively. He needs some love on solo combo extensions and some of his specials need to be changed to give him some free mix options to stay relevant. Give him an angled Kamehameha and frame data to jail into IT for a free Hi-Lo mix and he'd be a lot more viable. At least an angle ki blast or something to contest airspace from the ground. Making standing ki blast or Kamehameha jail into IT would do him a ton of good tho.

Kara Cancel is basically cancelling the first frames of animation of a move with a special, supers or grabs. Usually it's used in forwards advancing moves of the character to extend the range of their Specials, taking advantage of the first frames of momentum in the animation. What is happening here is more of a Input retention, kinda like Negative Edge, an example been Urine in SF3rd, which allows you to dash while still retaining the charge of a charged move. But in this case the properties of the Super Jump are been retained during the attacks and then released ones Goku Black is airborne. Dunno if Negative Edge is the best description, but Kara Cancel isn't the right term for this tech imo. But if I'm proven wrong then that's ok, is good to learn more.

The only thing he really has that’s good is autocombo and sword heavies. Other than that he’s pretty average at everything from damage to meter gain. Also his DHC is horrible for his level one, if it was bomb he’d have decent synergy. Goku Black legitimately needs a whole list of buffs or a complete rework to be “pretty good” at anything tbh

Some Ideas for Black buffs: Make his instant transmission faster. Even 2-3 frames faster would really help him. Here's an interesting one, do what was given to Blue Vegeta and make his 5S and 6S able to convert in to other specials and supers. That could reaaallly buff his neutral. OR Just make his 5S and 6S like Trunks' 5S and make it beat normal Ki blasts. Honestly, just giving him that Blue Vegeta buff would already make him much better, but I think the 5S and 6S change is unanimously a must-have.

I know this is old, but you need to have a certain situation in order to reliably get the float to install normally. In blockstrings, the only way you can get it to work is a 1 frame window at the start of the blockstring, which as you can imagine when there's characters like kid buu who can do the same thing much better and easier, makes nobody want to play the character.

@@namesurname6000 I do agree with this... characters do do the same thing black can and better but the sole reason I picked him up literally a week ago is because he somewhat reminds me of jin or maybe hworang from tekken 7. I have almost no problem getting this mixup down because jfsr and ewhf are basically the same thing and my assists are okay enough to play mid to high level, it just takes a little practice, luck, and skill, and really I dont like the easy route to anything lol. Just an opinion 🤷‍♂️

I play with ps4 controller, analog stick, I have dragon rush for R1, super dash for R2, vanish is light and medium, no quick tag (no forward or down L1/L2 quick tag), my forward air dash is forward + super dash. Vegito banshee blast ( this gain more meter and damage). And Online removing all of ui weakness. Some os against him become inconsistent. He has 3-7 matchup but that character got killed in lag. Online improve unrelesting will a lot because you definetlly has higher chance to drop combo in lag. And it is unreactable in online

Can i use it in the second hit of the Gogeta's rekkas for example? Or with the 236L of Vegeta base? Or is for more especific situations? What do you think is the better form to start practice this? I tested this with gogeta a lot but couldn't find any strong mixups for him using this tech. I know I saw Fenrich post something cool using this for SSJ Vegeta where he could float forward after a rocket kick rebound, and go for a high/low mix that way (usually SSJ Vegeta is too far away for his low light to reach after rocket kick rebound). I'm not sure if Base Vegeta has any cool uses for this. (And thank you for your concern. I was definitely pretty tired on the day I was recording this but I'm feeling pretty good now!)

Street Fighter V is somewhat easy to pick up and has a big community of content creators to watch like BrianF. Guilty Gear Rev2 or Axxent Core +R can be good introductions to the series which has a new game coming out early next year. Honestly there are too many good fighting games to count and there's a lot of variety in the types of fighting games too. I'd suggest watching some random evo top 8s and see what looks exciting to you personally.

The issue is that that kind of mix up with 21 is char dependent. You’ll definitely need to lab and try all her lentils tools and see what are her options I highly recommend you do take that time. We need people to find out these hidden techs so to speak. Good luck

It also turns out that depending on the assist she doesn't even need to super jump install! if you time it right with certain assists she'll teleport and go over them while the assist is pushing them back. I've only tested it out with Roshi and Base Goku so far though and it works with them

It's a 1 frame link, which is around 0.0167 of a second if the game is running at 60 FPS like some sources tell me, but if it's 30 FPS, then it's 0.034 of a second. Which is still a really really small frame of time, so it's unlikely even after practice you could do it perfectly over and over again, let alone doing it online.

What exactly prevents someone going and killing the first 2 leaving black alone and then as black tries to ex teleport proceeds to get 2hed out of it here?

I'm not sure. I've tested a few ideas I thought would work but didn't because the character recovers from whatever they were doing so close to the ground that there's no time for a float to make any difference or be noticeable. That's why with the Gogeta example I had to double jump to show it off. Unfortunately, each character will get a different amount of utility out of this tech and we'll have to be patient testing them all.

Could Goku Blue do something similar to this using his j.214H or 236/214S? I know that he is the last character that is in need of more mix, but I'm curious.

Nop, when he does j.214H, he doesn't have the SJ instll anymore bc he touches the ground doing the divekick and teleporting, and 236/214S doesn't put him airborne, the move recovers when he touches the ground
