There is one thing people are forgetting. Kami can teleport to King Yemma’s place . There’s nothing saying that you have to be dead to train with King Kai. It was permission from King Yemma that they needed to access Snake Way. So it might be still possible to grant Goku permission. Him being alive won’t change much.

Him being alive actually changes a lot for the better tbh. Less people would be dead from Vegeta and Nappa Invasion and Namek realistically if Goku was involved from the start instead of showing up much later for both.

@@mrharvy100 yeah depending on when he goes to otherworld and when he comes back, the biggest changes will be that he arrives early to the battle and the training of Gohan will be difficult. Piccolo won’t kidnap him with Goku being there.

Yup that seems to be the safe answer. Remember Goku KNOWS about the time chamber at this point. He didn’t bother trying it since he was a Kid the last time he was in the lookout, but Goku (and Piccolo?) might desperately go to time chamber to rapidly power raise. Also btw another option is available. Piccolo and Kami might actually fuse MUCH earlier out of desperation since I highly doubt Gohan is gonna get trained by Piccolo while Goku is now alive. Fused Kami Piccolo would mop the floor out of Invasion era Vegeta and Nappa.

Not really. In the end Vegeta in canon didn’t lose to either the spirit bomb or Kaioken. Goku legit lost in their first encounter the moment Vegeta turned into a giant ape. Ironically Goku and Piccolo being in the time chamber for a year would do way more good since their power level will significantly spike up. You know like what happened to Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and Trunks in Cell Saga. Goku didn’t even use Kaioken or spirit bomb against Perfect Cell back then either.

Yes but the only reason they survived was because the kaioken pushed Vegeta to become a Oozaru. Then the spirit bomb plus Yajirobe cutting off Vegeta’s tail did enough damage to force Vegeta to bail.

My guess is that game ratings have gotten more strict. When I was a kid I remember Raditz having a hole through his stomach in Budokai 1, They definitely want to keep the game at a T rating, or perhaps they want to keep the game closer to Dragon Ball Super (Less Blood). In Dragon Ball Kakarot, I believe the Special Beam Cannon just left a burn mark on Goku and Raditz instead of a hole, kind of like in DBZ KAI.

I have a solution to this; The Hyberbolic Time Chamber. Look I don’t care but it’s a huge plot hole that was left out of the Saiyan Saga. Why the hell didn’t the Z-Fighters (At the very least Tien and Co) use it? Did the fight with Nappa have to be that desperate until Goku appeared? Why not let Tien, Yamcha, and Krillin all 3v1 and Beat Nappa, then Vegeta can be the guy they have huge trouble against.
