What are the five basic skills in judo? They are categorized into throwing techniques (nage-waza), grappling techniques (katame-waza), body-striking techniques (atemi-waza), blocks and parries (uke-waza), receiving/breakfall techniques (ukemi), and resuscitation techniques (kappo).

Good video and technique. the only one I do differently is the Uki Goshi, when I do the uki goshi I do the kuzushi once I'm in position for the throw I grab the hip then straighten my body once the person is on my hip i then roll my hips which causes the person's legs to be sweeped behind me then I throw.

Great stuff, thanks for this. Very helpful. Can you do the shimmeisho no waza at some point?

Cheers Justin. I'm glad the video has been helpful. Yes, the plan is to film the rest of the Ne Waza techniques and then film the Shimmeisho no Waza!

Thanks for making the video. It’s a big ask, but can you mention the group of the gokyo each throw belongs to?
@TheJudoWayofLife Жыл бұрын
Your welcome. The throws are in order as they appear in the Gokyo and there is a full list broken down into the correct groups, with links to each individual throw in the description. Hope this helps.

@@TheJudoWayofLifethanks for your reply. I have found your index to the groups and their throws in the description. Exactly what I needed. Much appreciated.
