Hi Jason.. I remember when I was gold panning in a good size water course that Supplyes the city of Adelaide.. I decided I would check out the green moss on the side of the creek on the bends and was surprised when I-broke it up in the pan and paned it off there was fine gold in it.. maybe try it if you haven’t all ready.. You really need me to come up there. Set up the shelter facilities. Give Rigby the coffee cup and the "union supervisor finger" and then double timing with 1 person digging the shoreline, while the other person runs the sluice - and continued trade offs. Then you would see golden dreams come true ! And Pabst 6.5 would be an enjoyable treat for the operation.

Hello Jason! I've been playing with dirt and prospecting for gold for about fifty years now. We mostly use magnet rods to check for the presence of magnetite and mineralization of the soil, specially when using metal detectors. We cover the ends of the rod with a plastic cover, in order to make it easier to remove the magnetite. As you know, although black sand is one of the indicators of soil which may contain gold, many times there's none to be found. On the other hand, many times you find gold where there is no black sand at all. The magnet rods we used were merely PVC pipes with magnets at both ends. I enjoy watching your videos, very enlightening and entertaining. I wish there were a way I could bring you some of my one of kind equipment for you to try out. Alright Jason, at least you are out and about...it's that time of the year here in Calif to go out and crevice the lower rivers and dried up creeks...Back in awhile...I use a pvc pipe that has rare earth magnets at the head of my sluice box, which also picks up fine gold in the black sands. keep the video's coming and the snacks too.

I would look to where the creek use to flow and concentrate on the old creek area. I have had a lot of success where the creek use to flow with bigger gold flakes and small nuggets.

It definitely seems tougher in your area to find gold in the creeks verses the beach. But I guess the possibly of finding a picker seems to be the draw. Your theories regarding the condensed material deposits being found on the outside of creek curves are spot on. Sounds like a great place to look. It looks like you guys are having fun. Found a spot one day pan after pan thought I was up on lake superior lots of black sand and gold. Next time not so much. Funny how much it changes from day to day. But the enjoyment is what matters.

I am originally from what most people refer to as paradise; Hawai'i. But, that definitely looks like paradise to me! Paradise is where you make it! 🏝 Having fun is the name of the game.
