Awesome info on the GM1k, i do 95% panning for gold and I've just recently bought a GM1K and been watching a fair few of your videos and it gives me confidence to use it more (since i though mine was broken and havent found a thing yet with it).

Absolutely mate, I was at a creek once and within about 5 mins it raised about 3 feet so I quickly took of, it's all part of the fun haha

The Gold Monster has so many varied opinions in regards to setting it up, I purchased a .2 and a .5 nugget to do my own testing, of course all info supplied is always appreciated, I purchased my G.M in July and have only been able to use it once .....hopefully in a couple of weeks that may change? Absolutely agree with you that you can use it in many ways, I have used it in very hot ground and dropped back the sensitivity but you do loose debth also, I think it's about getting it balanced so that you can identify targets, cheers mate

Awesome bro! This video is super helpful, I have always strugulled a bit on the detector and this video helped more! We got way up into a back gully the other day with shallow bedrock and boy it looked like some good nugget country, plus its in an area where some of NZs biggest nuggets probably nothing by AUS standards but still nuggets up to 100Oz and in abudance were found so hopefully we can get up there with the gold monster and see if we can get anything!
