A lot of KZbin channel collaborations come across awkward but you two seem to always hit it off. You guys seem to be both both having a good time together while showing us some cool stuff. Definitely a case where the sum of the parts are greater that than the whole. Thanks!
@mwnciboo Жыл бұрын
Agreed - I think Dan's prospecting know how, combined with Matt's practical and processing know how and equipment - they both talk the language of science, chemistry and mathematics - Assaying and analysing - plus both have good differing characters and can bounce off and are deferential each other making a nice natural presentation style - is a rare thing.

Hi Jason. Giving some thought to adet 2, and remembering how a geologist explained why you find gold on the foot wall, if I could, I would set blasting charges to drop the whole ceiling and expose the vein. It seems like a viable option right now
@44070Swinger Жыл бұрын
If memory serves, he got "in trouble" with the Mining Ministry a few years ago while he was using the micro charges here on the Blue chip.
@MikkellTheImmortal Жыл бұрын
@@44070Swinger you are correct. However, it is possible to get permits for explosives, yet I don't think Dan is able to get them because he is a micro miner. I think he would have to hire a company to do it for him

Have you done a video talking about the lack of air in the caves? I'm wondering how the old timers mined in low oxygen levels. Anyhoo, a video talking about the dangers obvious and not so obvious would be fantastic.

As an Aussie who grew up with a geologist step-dad. I understand your mining talk for the most part, sometimes words are used for different things.
@vicswanby454 Жыл бұрын
I've run across quite a few mines in my state and to find a couple of guys close to my home filming that good stuff was just fun. I look forward to the next videos you guys put out you guys really seem to work well together. Thanks for the great watch and awesome help identifying some of the things I have seen and was curious about. There's one place in particular real close to me that has that same type of vain I think I'm going to go back and do some prospecting and see if it contains any of that elusive gold. Thanks again for the great content.
@larry785 Жыл бұрын
Have you tried a hand-held pin-pointer type metal detector in these situations? That way you find the chunks of gold by running the detector along the quartz seam.

I knew exactly where you were and where you were going the second the video started. You two work well together. I hope I see a bunch more collabs in the future.
@jaratt85 Жыл бұрын
An one ounce slug out of a 12 gauge shotgun would drop that overhanging rock no problem. Another case where echo-mapping would be highly useful to tell exactly where the mine goes. I definitely feel like there might be more to that mine that just wasn't uncovered.. you'd just have to get the permits to break out the C3 to go after it.

I wonder what Dan would do if one of the bears he's always trying to get to answer him when he says "Hello, bear!" before entering a mine says, "Hi, Dan! What's for dinner?"
