Gold prospecting moss! It’s loaded!

Today we are back on New Zealand's West coast with Alex from Switzerland gold prospecting for some gold! We decide to hit the moss and bedrock banks and boy did it pay off big! Got a great haul of moss gold and to top it off some nice pickers found detecting with the GPX6000!

We used to called them view finders (which I think may be the correct name) but dad and I just started called them lookers as it was just quicker ahaha. Thanks a lot!

@@JohnWilson-cs7iq The nox and gold monster are basically neck and neck however the noxs audio boosting, pinpoint function, better discrimination and fully waterproof with the 6” coil make it my preferred pick over the gold monster. The gpx is better again however the nox can be better for scouting missions.

Are you in NZ? Nothing saying you can’t mine moss within the creek bed, it’s not a native so it isn’t protected so your all good as long as it’s within the active creek bed, moss also regrows almost immediately and is refreshed every flood.

That’s awesome, I wouldn’t be surprised if they could sniff out larger gold but I think it would be quite useless at looking for alluvial gold sadly but you never know.

@@TheSluicers I did a little more research and I just found out that dogs cannot smell gold only the minerals around gold sounds like it still gives you a good chance. If you wanted to find gold rings on the beach just put a gold ring in a dog's mouth he'll taste it get used to the smell and he'll sniff it out but the dog has to be very obedient. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3XVp5Vnfdumec0
