you gotta get a parts brush to sweep the dirt in the pan you don't use like an etrex 10 so you DEFINITELY find your way back make sure you turn on the WAAS it gets rid of the errors jumping from satellite to satellite or get some plastic tape you can tie to a tree to mark you way in and back and take them off going back (bright orange) or caution tape something just a thought

GC W Bot good. No gold got stuck in snow had to hike out 3 miles to get cell service and start a fire to keep my toes from falling off. Cars still stuck up there. We’re waiting till the snow melts a bit more.

i notice a lot of yt vidders doing well on the yuba...i'm sure many have claims, but is it obvious where these claims are?...also, yuba is quite long, so is there a maximum or minimum altitude where gold can be found?...probably the same could be asked of other sierra rivers...thanks...

harold takahashi Pretty much all of the forks of the yuba are claimed up expect for a few state park, and public use areas. You can find gold on each of the Yubas no matter the elevation I’m sure of it. The yubas are rich due to intersecting with old river channels and having lode deposits all along the canyons. ok, what i've seen (on yt), are markers showing a claim, but how large of an area does this entail?...and, if you don't see a notice, is it pretty much safe to prospect that area?...and are there sources online for reference?...thanks again...

Theres very little gold claims on the south yuba where most of us go alot. But middle and north are definitely locked up but as far as elevation goes I've found that the gold drops out as far as killer days after 4000 and below 2000

harold takahashi Google South Yuba State Park. Your allowed to pan there but they only want you using pans and hands so if you want to use hand tools I would hike further out past the public’s eye. 💯⛏😎 Good Luck My Friend! 🤙
