Wish it was closer to the freeway! 🤣 It's really not that far away. The last 40 miles takes forever. Still much closer than our spots down South.

Very cool. I have been to quartzville twice and didn't get much at all so I have been just going to the south Umpqua. I would like to be able to do better at quartzville since it is closer to Salem
@prospectingforadventure2 жыл бұрын
S. Umpqua is awesome. Quartzville is way more difficult. Stay out of the seasonal gravels and you will probably do better. You saw what I was focusing on.

Quartzville is not an easy place to prospect and be successful you can find gold there but lots of trial and error you are always learning something new.This is a very honest video full of good information. My best day up there was .38 Gram it doesn't come easy .I can only imagine working this place in the 1860s .
@prospectingforadventure2 жыл бұрын
I have limited experience up there. I've seen some pretty good gold and heard of some amazing gold. It's like most areas in this region. The more you go, the better you do.

Great video. How did you get so much kit hiked down to the creek with just two of you ? (the logistics of getting "Trifecta kit" to the creek is a constant puzzle for me - grateful for any tips)
@prospectingforadventure2 жыл бұрын
This day it was easy. One or two trips to the truck. Water was warm enough I didn't need a suit. So it was basic digging tools, pan, shorts and a sluice.

Great video! Given that you are in non-ESH, anyone (state police) ever give you an earful about the power sluice? It’s not a dredge, but do you still carry around a copy of the 700pm permit anyway?
@prospectingforadventure2 жыл бұрын
I don't make it out there often, but I spoke to some guys who run some equipment out there. It doesn't sound like there's much of an issue running out there right now. I saw a few different dredges in the water to. And yes technically you should have the 700 pm on you.

I went here 25 years ago. Two firsts in my life. Saw a guy I was with pull a great nugget half the size of my pinky nail out of the creek. Got to perform the heimlich on the same idiot while he choked on steak the same night😂😂😂
