The Rusty Rock Zone has gold quartz veins and sulphide veins with gold. The Zone is 150m wide of schistose rock with dozens of gold quartz veins and gold bearing sulphides veins. There is also an old gold mine in the Zone.

75 METERS!!!! My goodness, something tells me a coordinate grid with accompanying samples is coming. I'm only speculating here, but I'm guessing the old mine sites weren't particularly interested the sulfides, & combined with the somewhat remote nature of the location, is the reason the deposit still exists. Loving these vids guys!

Correct there are many many sulphide showings and past producers on this mountain. The quartz with little to no sulphides had a later deposition. There are zero recorded assay results for any of the quartz veins, however some are large. We have found two veins we traced from over 2000m with widths up to 15m. Well be sending some out for assays shortly, can't hurt.

@911mining Well, my untrained eye is thinking that the minimum tonnage point is there, however its gonna depend on the assays. Here's hoping you guys sort of end up camping there a while getting samples/cores. Though I'm thinking you may actually enjoy it!! The word BOOYAAAHHH comes to mind... Best of luck!!

How come their is never a big gold or silver vein ever found and videoed an shown to the people??? Every other mineral is shown in vein structures.

Nuggety, macro-sized, big chunks of gold in veins is super rare. The gold particles are tiny, usually. The gold is often mixed in with those sulphide minerals, so heavy sulphide mineralization is a reasonably good indicator of the potential of gold being present. Sometimes gold is essentially trapped inside sulphides, and that's more expensive to process. I'm sure if you dig back through their videos you'll find them crushing up a little ore with some free gold and panning it out. Ans I'm sure they have videos where samples with naked eye-visible gold is presented -- usually little flecks. They were talking about a few grams per tonne Au in one of those samples. If you have a large enough deposit, enough tonnage, that's economical to mine -- depending on multiple other cost-related factors (accessibility, etc), and the price of gold.

Does an assay give an approximation of oz per ton? Just trying to understand the lingo.

Gives an exact value of the sample you take. So if you have a large vein you take chip or channel samples accross the width to give you the 2D value, I you want a more accurate picture you drill and determine grades and widths at various points be cause a vein isn't the same everywhere, can be similar but gold is nuggety so grades aren't consistent from one peice to another
