Sorry everyone I made this before anyone had a chance to use the drill. There is no nuggets with the drill however there is nuggets with the tier 2 wash plant and I am guessing the tier 3 as well. So don't lose hope. I had made this video just before the launch so I was not aware of the nuggets not being on the drill.

So what would be your new recommendation for console players?

@@guillermoruiz4881stay in the hog pan area for a longer time get all the nuggets from there that you can. Drilling is still very important but can wait. you have to go through the tier 2 grind. So stay away from loans and renting. I would recommend the excavator and tier 2 wash plant. When you can afford it get a second one as well as a mobile water tank. It's what I am doing on my hard mode series.

This video is 3 years old on this date and I did this to find better pay dirt and I racked up 160 oz of gold doing this method and whilst I was drilling I stumbled on this video and this is still accurate and a great way to speed up the progress

yeah this video still is on par to how things are done. they have nerfed the nuggets and the nugget cap. other wise it its the everything is still the same. Glad you found it and it helped out.

very well patch, nugets are now very rare to get, so people really start to get the hard work washing and paning and new tools, equipments and machines you get along the way become more meaningful, it feels good.

I did add a pinned comment to let every one know that the drill does not get nuggets. Where as all other tiers do. Sorry you had to waist some time on this. I made the video before the console game was launched. I did not know at the time of making the video that this was an issue.

😅 I’m on my very first play through and I picked Hard…. Yea I’m that kinda person. But given when this vid was made and now Iv not found any nuggets after 6 in game days of shoveling. Iv bought like 30 buckets fill them all then dump them in at once to save fuel then bought a mag sorter and the wave table. Yeah I know I’m all over the place with it but I just wanted to maximize what little gold I could find.

On hard you start with 0 dollars, so you have to take first 500 bucks loan. But yea, interest rates are stupidly high, so unless its absolutelly necessary(like something broke in wrong time), you want avoid further loans. It will only slow you down.

No you don't have to take a loan. there is everything you need to start at the claim. You don't get a lot per bucket but you can start with no loan an 0 dollars.

@@OMG2020 Never came to my mind trying panning dirt without washing first...since ingame guide tells you buy hog pan and stuff right away. You are right you dont need loan, but its veeery slow. You pay like 800 bucks back, which is acceptable.

Yes you can still drill 16 times in each square for a chance.

i dont bother with loans in this game either. also you can get nuggets with the drill. i usually end up with about 400 oz spending one day on old arnold

This is a hard mode game you don't get nuggets in hard mode.

How can you tell whether or not there are remaining nuggets per square? I'm usually able to reveal the whole square in 4-5 drills and on average i been getting 2-3 nuggets.

You can't but if the square gives you a 10 oz nugget on the first drill then I drill it up to 15 times to get every last nugget I can

It is depending on three things. What game mode your in if your on pc and if you choose not to keep nuggets on. I believe the only mode they are not available in is hard mode. Also it is not available on console

If you put the game speed on 1 you won’t use as much fuel. If your running it on 12 you’ll use 12x more fuel.

so what do i buy once i get 2400 oz and spend 6 weeks smelting it in 20oz bars....lmao, do i just buy the nighthawk claim and repeat this over there? until i have funds for the washplant?

Yes that is what I would do. Lease night hawk, then buy as much of the wash play as possible. Maybe get the planters first.

I just got the game and I have filled the sluice about 6 to 7 times to 90 to 100% and never got a big nugget. Im playing on Pc and on normal if that makes any difference. Could anyone help??

Check your settings and see if nuggets are turned off. I would say you should have seen it on the first or second run.

I’ve followed your instructions but as soon as I started drilling I never seen another nugget ! I’ve drilled 3/4 of my claim over almost 2 days and haven’t received one single nugget ! Is my game glitched. I checked menu and nuggets are still enabled ?

If you are on console then you won't get nuggets from the drill.

Are you playing on console or PC? The leader board is for the PC. Did you leases the claim at the bank? Did you start a leader board game? If these are all correct then I am not sure what could be wrong.

can you just keep drilling the same squares to keep getting nuggets? 'cause i did the whole claim and only nedded 1 mil

I drill them about 13 times and average about 3 nuggets per square. I think 16 is the max for each square.

Nuggets are straight stupid. If there was so much gold, Old Arnold would dig it by himself. Thats why i play on Hard, its alot of work, but reward is much bigger. Whats the point "cheat" your way up straight to the top tier...where is fun in that?

I agree, but it was meant for helping new players figure things out. The game still is tough if you don't watch your money and go bankrupt. Also it helps out on leader board. Everyone wanted to just get to T5 and dig. I do think finding a nugget now and again is cool but it is over done in the game.

Which game mode are you playing? If it's leader boards then it may take some time. If it's hard mode you won't get any.

Are they turned on in setting. Also the first time you get one you have the option not to keep the nugget if you answered wrong then you don't get any.

I have used an excavator and can say the controls are correct. As you do almost everything with two joysticks

I feel like the boom stick needs to be inverted idk why but I understand the up is boom lift and down is boom drop but my brain does it backwards lol

For me it's driving. Not so much about the controls but when the camera switches I always seem to mix then up.

It depends on game mode and if your on console or PC. Console does not get nuggets with the drill. Also hard mode on any platform does not get nuggets from anything.

I just drilled my first claim: old Arnold. And With the first 3 drills I thought maybe later. After 10 still none, after all drills still none. Well it has unlocked my 2 trophies: 10 drills and 100 drills. So I'm not that disappointed, but I was hoping for a few nuggets too.

It’s not broken but has performance issues but is 100% more playable than cyberpunk 2077 so you can go spout karen nonsense if you want too I’m tired of people bashing games they never played!!! I miss 2002 when toxicity never existed in video gaming community

My only problem is....it's to hard to get to t3 and the mobile wash plant is so garbage you loose so much gold I can mine a spot that says 200oz with the mobile plant I only get 6 if I'm lucky
