Consider reading the pokemon adventures manga. Gold was revealed to be a raiser, and not so much a battler like Red and I think the developers of the game follow the manga kind of, if not completely.

Sabrina, my fave, be looking more cuter than ever with her classic outfit. Love that she got more focus after her battle, with endearing interactions with Leaf and Gold and extended scenes of her backstory which I now consider canon. Although, for someone who had three years to prepare for her encounter with Gold, Sabrina really had no clue against Gold's antics or his Umbreon. But she made up for it by being hella cute.

The surge joke is a joke I will *NEVER* tire of. Sabrina spending time with Leaf and Ethan was very sweet; she truly has mellowed in the years. I love the amount of nostalgia that you can feel from each of the characters. Love the little backstory we got from Sabrina too; so much emotion in the few shots there - her Espeon being either inspiration from Red's own, or perhaps a child of Red's Espeon is a nice nod too. Your writing truly is masterful. Having her be the sound and player of the PokeFlute on the radio is a nice little gem. Showing how connected everything is, Red, mr fuji, Marowak's ghost. You manage to pack so much into your storytelling, and the pokemon world is richer for it. I love that the Unknown tell Krys where Suicine is too.

Any I really love this episode; and yes part of that is seeing Sabrina again. Once you get to Saffron City it's just the calming sound of the piano even during the Gym battle; very nice touch. Sabrina holding Umbreon was very cute and seeing her happy makes me smile. 4:44 I'm genuinely curious as to how his story will continue to unfold, if him and Kris will still be mortal enemies and have another showdown, or if they will put it past as he did leaving team rocket. I remember the part in Johto where he wanted Suicune so he could purify the polluted water in Celadon, so that makes me think it will end up being the latter. 1:54 I love how Gold continues to be the rizz master, even if he was joking 🤣 I must also say that I love the whole in depth back story to Sabrina and her development since Red, as before she was always depicted as closed off and cold, and now she's much more open.

It's worth noting that Espeon - alongside being Sabrina's latest addition in the Johto games - symbolizes ultimate happiness and psychic well-being, reflecting Sabrina's current mindset. It's a thoughtful detail. Hopefully, Red's Espeon will prove to be a worthy match. Gold's Umbreon is incredibly strong in these.

Excellent episode, Pedro :3 Love how it began with Gold training with Lt. Surge, which resulted in it not being enough to move that bloody Snorlax. DX And can I just say that Gold looks great with that little beard of his in addition to being buffed out? :D After that... naturally the rest of the episode was enjoyable, especially with Gold being able to easily defeat Sabrina and earn his 10th badge overall. Only 6 more to go! :D Overall, look forward to seeing what gym that Gold is gonna take on next as well as that ending regarding Kris. :)
