0:38 This part is brilliant! - He's locked in a failed shield-bash animation so he isn't able to dodge your downstab, you turn it left just in time to hit him left instead of right to continue the combo. I always always screw this part up and get locked into having 1 RedKnight on either side of me, and I have to just charge attack left-then-right-then-left-then-right until they die, but it's very time consuming...is a downstab double damage compared to your charge attack? (kick) - ??

That's because it's his world record - Garland is the world record holder on ALL modes on this game. On some of the modes 2nd place is not even close!

Presiona dos veces hacia la izquierda o hacia la derecha para correr. Luego presiona saltar, luego mantén el ataque cuando estés en el aire.

Depending which platform you are playing on you could have input lag. Aside from playing on original hardware I would recommend the RetroArch emulator. Other than that, it does take a lot of practise and different people have different reaction times so my setups won't work for everyone. Anyway, hope you are enjoying the game and good luck!

double :L or R makes you dash, you dont mean that do you? double L or double R used to be code for "run" in most games of late 80's

Why do they die so fast, cheating?

The down stab attack does a lot of damage compared to other attacks. It does 16 damage which is enough to kill most enemies in one or two hits. For a breakdown of attack damage and enemy health you can see a table I made here hackmd.io/@ntvqpUqeSGGmt6NviEIWnw/rJvaq-XtI . Also note this is the Genesis/Megadrive version of the game, the arcade release works differently.
