I don't think Campbell will be able to handle the constant pressure of Lomachenko. He'll probably try to keep him at bay with his jab at range and then try and let his hands go and try to sneak in body shots to slow the matrix, but I don't see any of that successfully working against Loma.

Great fight. It could have been a draw if not for the knockdown by Linares. I think Campbell were able to just well. Linares on the otherhand, didn't adjust and seems like his style doesn't work well against southpaw. Given that, Campbell won't be a walk in the park for Loma but I don't see how Campbell will win the fight.

I'm almost 100% sure that Loma win this fight easily but my point is that Luke Campbell is very experienced. I didn't say anything about fighting for a vacant title, simply stated that inexperienced is the wrong word. Luke had a very competitive fight with Linares and no-one called Linares inexperienced when he fought Loma, he actually knocked Loma down in that fight. Loma wins and yes he has had far more difficult competition as a pro but that doesn't mean Luke is inexperienced.

I do not understand how Linares, former champion who defended his throne 3 times and only came down from the sky Lomachenko is not ranked among the top 3 light today, it is and to spare. Undoubtedly, despite being a fairly worthy opponent and a slight future in the division as soon as Loma unifies, Linares is the best or best for stellar combat that will be done with the Ukrainian path of unification. If Campbell lost to Linares, what has he done to earn the right to fight for 3 crowns? I do not get it. What about Teofimo Lopez? And Devin Haney? If this guy lost against Linares and they don't give the opportunity to another 135lb. more interesting, a Loma vs Linares II would have been more logical. The Venezuelan will be able to sleep peacefully after watching the fight, with a beer in his hand and saying "I defeated that boy, and I am also the only fighter among 400 who knocked down Lomachenko." Linares moved up to 140 and got knocked out in the first rd by a journeyman, plus he didn't set up a rematch clause because he wanted more money. Also luke has earned his shot as the mandatory. Loma and top rank petitioned for loma to have the chance to fight for the vacant title instead of fighting through the wbc rankings. Teo hasn't fought anyone for a title shot. It was supposed to be Campbell Vs Haney for the belt(which makes sense) but loma and top rank pulled out the once a year corruption card and got the shot.

Teo, you're right, but as you say you can do Teo vs Campbell or any combination. Both are unbeaten and deserve to be measured with Campbell and whoever wins is the challenger. We cannot forget that Campbell has already been tested and lost, but everything goes as you say. Procedures are expedited to continue turning boxing into a business.

He has the skills and ability but more than that he has the grit and attitude. Other than that, maybe if gervonta moves up he could pose a real problem just from power alone, but I think Mayweather promotions want to wait for loma to become undisputed first. That way if he loses they can say well he lost to the undisputed champ.

Он довольно опасен, несмотря на это не очень убедительное выступление против Линареса. Всё-таки это олимпийский чемпион с очень весомыми как для категории габаритами. Оба его проигрыша по SD, а Линарес например любит поваляться на полу. Ну и из 20ти побед у него 16 нокаутов, что в общем для лёгкого веса довольно неплохо... Это высококлассный парень, он куда лучше того же Кролы.

Чето вы недооцениваете соперников Ломаченко. Кембел любит драться с левшами и часто попадает по печени как и Ломаченко. Не забывайте, что Кембел на равных дрался с Линаресом, и только по очкам слил бой. а Линарес очень силён и в последнем бою за 2 раунда бойца в отбивную превратил. А Кемпбел дерётся в своей весовой категории, Ломаченко перескочил не в свой вес, и сейчас против него будет драться Кембел 175 рост и 180 размах рук. У Ломы не было соперников крупнее Линареса. Если Линарес был крупнее Ломаченка, то Кембел ещё выше и руки длинее, хорошо боксирует против левши. Если Линерас смог поймать Ломаченко коротким прямым в нокдаун, то и Кембел может догнать. Поэтому бой будет тоже сложным, до последних раундов. Англичанин тоже вынослив, Ломе надо будет постоянно идти на сближение, и там он может как по печени так и в бороду отхватить.

@@Old299dfk Everyone thought this comparing Campbell's coordination to Loma's in an apples to apples comparison. They didn't realize that's a 5'9 or 5'10 dude moving like that compared to Loma who is maybe 5'5, and the wingspans are even wider apart. Loma had to be way better at everything just to keep even with Campbell because the length difference made up for so much. You dont need to be fancy or super coordinated with that length, you just need to have good fundamentals and good IQ, keep your distance, keep the shorter guy in front of you, and throw straight basic shots at the angles he might try to come in. Not to sell Campbell short, it's more complicated than that, and takes way more skill, but you get the point. 6 inches of reach is unheard of in professional boxing. Campbell had that. Plus good speed. Plus good fundamentals. It was a very high caliber fight.

I don't see why people are saying Like won. The overall rounds were close and knockdowns count as 2 points which means even if Luke won 8 rounds they would be tied on points. Plus it isn't easy to see all the punches depending on the angle the judges are looking at. They should really use a monitor to watch the fight.

I came to watch Campbell prior the Loma fight. Loma dominated Linares completely and I really don't see how Campbell will be able to keep up with Loma. However I always want to see how Loma will fight another southpaw, will be watching it.

Good fight, I gave Campbell a few rounds. I wonder if Campbell's corner were telling him he was winning the fight because I didn't sense much urgency from him. Either that or he felt it'd be better to just survive than to risk getting knocked out.
