The three main stops on the Golden Circle route in Iceland: 1. The magnificent Gullfoss waterfall; 2. Haukadalur geothermal area (widely known as Geysir) - famous for its geysers and termal pools (Strokkur being the most active); 3. Thingvellir National Park, where the Icelandic Parliament was established in 930, and where the continental drift between Europe and North America can be easily noticed.

Well said. I was in iceland just last week. I did the entire country in a week----basically the "Ring Road". Went from capital city to driving on top of a mountain to seeing the glaciers and diamond beach to the coast to volcanoes to the capital again. It was amazing!

At 4:08 in the video, just before you start panning left, I swear it looks like someone has carved an elk head in the rock side. It is on the right side of the screen just a bit before 3 o'clock if you were to look at it on a clock face. It looks like a profile facing right. It amazed me to see the Gullfoss waterfall because this is the first time I have ever seen it. I feel Iceland is left out of so many exploration shows/video. It is so beautiful and I thank you for taking me there :)

They call Golden Circle three of the popular locations close to Reykjavik, that usually are done in one day, quite crowded, compared to the rest of Iceland. The places are Þingvellir, Gullfoss and Geysir
