Day 6 (11:12) - Kitandara Hut to Guy Yeoman Hut (3,505 m/11,500 ft).

Probably, yes. However in the book his expedition with Diego happens mostly in the Richtersveld mountains, which is more of a desert landscape .. as against the rainforests of Rwenzori/Virunga 🤷‍♂

Beautiful place. This vedeo brought back so many memories. I had the pleasure of climbing Rwenzori in 2015.

I walked the Rwenzori hike in 1983 and loved it. I went in January when it was supposed to be the dry season, yet it rained nearly all day, every day. I wonder what the rainy season is like. I see that the huts have been improved, and now there is a boardwalk across the Lower Bigo Bog. Back in 83' you had to slog your way through and I wouldn't want it different.
