I’m afraid it’s not that simple…. Are these two specimens the same sex? Raptor females are generally larger than their male counterparts. And not every individual within a species grows to the same size. You can’t just take two random individuals and draw conclusions from one comparison.

No one killed them. All are found dead , due to road strikes, electrocution, windmill, etc… they are protected and it’s unlawful to hurt them. So they were dead accidentally.

How did these eagles die?

Mostly hit on the road by incoming vehicles. And also a lot of electrocution. A small percentage are found incapable of flying due to sickness and some will pass away in rehab centers. But in Canada whoever find them dead will apply for a permit to keep it.

I think there are individual differences and you may find a bald eagle larger in size than a golden eagle .
