I love this song, it's so much fun to do this one at Ren Faire❤ I drove my mom nuts when I was learning it, she would get so tense as the story unfolded lol, it was hilarious , especially considering I was 47 and she was 77😂❤I've never heard this version!❤

this is one of my dad's favorite leslie filks. he's got the notes and words transcribed inside a binder in a canvas bag next to his twelve-string, along with memories of SCA bardic circles more than two decades old. every time I find another vintage tape-recorded upload of any filk on youtube, I wonder if I'm listening to something he heard live... or from leslie herself, because he's mentioned attending one or two circles with her present.

Those days of bardic circles were some of my happiest times which is why it’s weird that I’m crying through all these songs. I miss my old friends. So many have passed on over the years. 💔
