I love these women. They were a big part of my childhood. It's funny, being a young guy in the 80's, and in my 30's now, I obviously, can't really relate to what these women deal with, but it always made me laugh, and still does everytime I watch it. Too bad nobody is smart enough to come up with a show like "The Golden Girls" these days.

For those of you wondering if Rue was being a Blanche when she mentioned her father watched the show, I checked and he was still alive at the time! Bill McClanahan, born 1908 died 1999. Although I'm amused that she would blush at the thought of her father hearing that line considering the rest of the things Blanche said and did...
