Yow empress every time you never resist to amaze me with your intuitive skills to just have better judgement in what doing without knowing before or it even been done before except from you, dexterity and cutting sharpness when it comes to actually producing the product its done with accuracy and looks neat and Creative craftiness your aptitude to be able to adapt, compensate, experiment then use household items to increase or even at time improve the eloquence of the look and all of this is merely coming from head? Wow! And you just make look simple. Worst you always having golden copper glow, it would be an honor if I was to able to name this hair style and I'd be very much be obliged!!!! Here is it Canerow: *Golden Laced Goddess Maize Buns* I place under the braid category of it being a canerow as homage to where the originators culture refer to it as, but as the north Americans adaptation is called cornrow, so I added the word maize to reference to it being still cornrows, but I think you possibly can figure out the rest, but I hope you make usage of the name in the future. Nuff luv n respekt!!!!

You can buy cheap yarn needles and put one on each end of your thread, to put in your cord. This would make a super cute summer wedding style.

FYI: If you (or anyone else) ever do something similar with the braiding cord: you can use a yarn needle to "sew" the cord or ribbon through your hair. Yarn needles are large and DULL not pointy--you can usually find plastic versions in kids' yarn related craft kits but there is also metal ones to. Look up hair taping and you should find some tutorials on how to use a yarn needle--it's a historic way of keeping hair up and out of the way before the convenience of bobby pins and hair elastics. I'm sure you can find some new ways to spin those styles too ;D (edited to correct some awkward sentences)

Hi Viv. Firstly I enjoy most of your videos. They are informative and fun. I've been natural for pretty much most if my life and I'm almost 50. Can you explain the purpose of "protective style". I get really annoyed when people wear wigs or extensions and call it protective style. Our hair does not need protecting. Our hair only needs to be nurtured from the inside out first then with the help of products. Please explain what we are protecting. Thanks .
