I just dont freaking understand why people say Pragg didn't play upto his mark. Those who say this havent played a day of team chess. Everybody has roles which the captain decides. We virtually started every round 1-0 up because of a certain Arjun, and Guki and Vidit were firing so powerful. It was all about solidity on board 2. Pragg losing only 1 game (against Wesley no less) shows how solid he was and how well he imbibed his role.
@ManiS-wd2euАй бұрын
Yes he has done his part very well.
@itjustworks4824Ай бұрын
If pragg had played upto his potential he would swarm over the field and get the individual gold. He played really really well, but is is known that he can play. in much higher level. Take nothing from his performance here
@Timepass-cx1doАй бұрын
Lol, Pragg himself wasn't happy with his performance and he sure has played "many days of team chess".
@Timepass-cx1doАй бұрын
If he was a normal player we would all be super happy with his performance. But we know that his potential is much much higher when he is in form.
@AnandSivaram22Ай бұрын
@@Timepass-cx1do no, he wouldn't be happy with his performance, nobody ever would be unless they've scored extraordinarily high. I was clearly addressing the people who said pragg didn't have a good tournament and was trolling. +2 on board 2 is a solid result when there are super high performers. He wasn't supposed to take risks and lose the game. He didn't. Losing to Wesley wouldn't make him happy, definitely, but apart from that his performance is 6/9. Which is +3. When the team has an arjun whose role was to sweep board 3, trolls have no right to say that his performance was poor. A player criticising his performance, and trolls criticising a player's performance when it was nothing but solid and did team good, are two different things.
