There is no better family dog than a Golden Retriever Labrador, and I say as a kid who grew up with both, having one who still looked after me when I was in my early twenties like I was still the kid he grew up with. Even as an elderly arthritic dog, his loyalty to me surpassed whatever pain he was in and he loyally stayed by my side during a time I was badly hurt, yet refused to leave my side. Human beings can learn a lot about the quality of loyalty from our K9 companions.

Can’t think of a better animal golden retriever for someone who doesn’t feel well. they brighten your day make you laugh endless hours and it gives you something to take care of. They depend on you for food water, etc. you can even talk to them they do understand. we have a 12-year-old border collie and a three-year-old white golden retriever border collies by nature are a bit standoffish. Sometimes they love a belly rub what a golden retriever they like your lap doesn’t make any difference how big they are they’ll find a way to crawl up on the couch where you let them go sooner or later you find them in your lap their eyes will melt you, I think God did something very special when he made a golden I think they are lovers from the start . I had a bad year and was coming out of it retired and I have to have for lots of it so when we went to pick up the puppy three years ago, the gentleman that had him as I told him we’re seniors he said God never promises you tomorrow. I haven’t forgot that often are you say that to someone who who say the are to old to young etc . When my neighbor seen my golden, her dog had passed two years before she seemed angry and sad and I told her God never promises you were tomorrow get a dog one week later they found a new dog she’s crazy about.
