They are so precious. Decades ago I had a house bunny that lived with a rottweiler and they became buds like this. The dog learned it must be calm or the bunny will deny it the pleasure of its company! As always, these types of relationships must be closely supervised from the beginning. These people did it perfectly.

Your rabbit is the absolute double of my last rabbit Caramel. It brought back so many happy memories. Many people just don't realise just how intelligent and affectionate rabbits can be. I have had many in my lifetime but the caramel mini lop always seems to come out on top for intelligence, loyalty and nature. The problem is you get so attached to them that when they pass it is heart rending. My two youngest grandchildren were heart broken when Caramel passed unexpectedly in a heat wave despite all out attempts to keep her comfortable. After that I refused to get another simply because of the sadness when they are gone. The friendship between you dog and rabbit just doesn't surprise me at all. Our cat, dog and rabbit would all share a warm hearth rug on a cold winter's day. Just a mass fur ball of arms and legs without a hint of animosity.
