Golden Schindler Hydraulic Elevator @ Dillards Short Pump, VA

(January 2013) Every once in a while you may come across a Schindler with an epic hydraulic motor. This was one of those times! For some reason, this elevator (and most of the others at the Short Pump mall) have issues leveling on the lower level. Other than that, it runs like a champ.

Yep, this is from the same trip! It's quite a big complex, and has about a dozen elevators or so (All Schindler, of course!)

Looks like it got heavily modernized with Innovation, and you can tell how they just slapped the innovation call buttons over the old ones. The pump was definitely replaced, probably with a Canton. I'll bet you it used to be low pitched before they put Innovation on it.

I'm pretty sure they just kept the Schindler motor. Schindler motors sound the exact same

This elevator must have been modded, eh? I really like the bell on this one. The floor indicator that doesn't immediately change is a plus too. This is a really nice elevator!

Must've had "MT Promises" fixtures initially, since 300A's usually had those, as well as the overshoot to leveling at the lowest landing.

I wish all new elevators , hospital, & hotel elevators had this motor would it be awesome because I think it will be cool to hear this motor in every hotel or hospital or any new elevator my school's elevator needs this motor & those buttons because the buttons & the motor it has now is boring me & it needs those Brailles but it'll need a third Braille for the 3rd floor

I would be inclined to agree, but the mall is only ten years old. I bet it's an HT, but innovation buttons were used to give it a more upscale look to match the rest of the cab.

Actually, it looks like this originally had HT buttons because at the beginning of the video, the call button is on the door jamb.

Innovation must have redone the controller because the floor indicator does not change before/when it starts moving

Funny how the floor counter isn't one ahead of itself like most hydraulic Schindlers. This obviously had to do with the modernization. I imagine this was a 330A HT prior to the mod.

You're right, I talked over the motor every time it was going up. I may go get a retake at some point, considering the popularity of this video, but I can't do it anytime soon as I'm going back to Blacksburg for the Spring.

Dillard's Elevators suck. There is a Schindler 330A from 2004 at Jordan creek mall at dillards that I rode. It is a death trap. Even though it looks nice, they have switched their contract many times. Its not even that old! They are never really maintained that well. typical Schindler quality
