November 1969 I was 10 yrs old, there was a knock at my front door, I answered it and there was a girl standing there with blond hair In a flip, a brown leather fringe jacket, and an Abby Road album under her arm (& she smelled like English Leather). Her name was April & she was 17 and she was the stepsister that I had never met. She moved in with us in November 69 and died in a car accident in April 1970. During that time she turned me on to The Beatles, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, CSN, Steppenwolf , The Stones etc. etc… Thank You April for the BEST 6 months EVER! I will never forget you. You gave me the soundtrack of my life! 💜

1964 changed my perspective of music, I was 11 years old and I couldn’t wait for their 1st appearance on Ed Sullivan (my mom and dad let us stay home from Sunday night service!) Feb. 9 1964 I Want To Hold Your Hand came on and I was hooked! Still today at 71 years old they are still my FAV!!! Have seen Paul twice live in concert!!!!

Everytime I hear this medley, it brings tears to my eyes. So ironic, the last song they every did together in the same room was " The End" Kind of sums it up for me. They were my heroes all through my 9-16yrs of living. May God bless John and George and bless Paul and Ringo. I don't know if they themselves know how much they meant to the people of the world! They will rock on in my head till I take my last breath.

Never have so few people (4, to be exact) brought so much joy to so many people. I am grateful to have lived in their era. My poor children hardly tolerate my attempts to convey to them what a privilege it was to wait impatiently for their next masterpiece. Futile attempts, I know, but I try anyway.

I've been a musician all my life and was 12 years old when The Beatles came to the USA. That was it, all it took. A classmate and I dropped every other type of music we were doing at the time and though it was nothing more then teenage dreams it was still very serious to us. When I sat in the theater with my girlfriend many years later watching Let it Be I sat there crying, she said "What's wrong? I said this is a funeral can't you see it? Then there it was on Abbey Road, the song that verified my statement Golden Slumbers/Carry that weight/The End. I had heard it from their lips so I had to accept it but now every time I hear "Once there was a way....." I completely lose it because it takes me back to that moment in time, the end. I became a professional musician and I had a cover of the above songs posted on here for quite awhile until KZbin took it down over copyright infringement. I was devastated, my heart shattered, the one song I had always wanted to do and do right had been snatched right out of my hands. My friend on here fredthejunkman and this extremely talented Indian guy whose name I can't begin to spell had gotten it all together and I was so proud. We still have You Never Give me your money on here and why they left it and took the other I'll never know. I was told in August that I have stage 4 lung cancer.

It is impossible for me to state how incredible I believe the Beatles were. I'm a professional musician and have played everyone from Gershwin to Tchaikovsky to Bernstein. I can tell you that I have never come across composers that have not only written such great music, but in SO MANY STYLES. And the Beatles not only composed, but PERFORMED their music on their instruments, and SANG also. I honestly believe that it will be another thousand years before the stars align to bring a small group of such talented people together. And another little-noticed piece of their impossible puzzle is that the voices of John and Paul blended so perfectly, and when combined with George, produced harmonic overtones that few could equal. Think of them singing "Because." The choir-boy sweetness of Paul contrasted with the sardonic growl of John. Their harmonies would please Mozart. I don't believe in anything 'supernatural' but the coming together of these impossibly young people at the perfect time in history was straining the limits of probability. I am so glad i was around when buying a new Beatles album was an event worthy of excitement and celebration. By the way, the songs here are two in the medley from Abbey Road that was voted the best work the Beatles ever did. And i completely agree.

Love forever born in 1951 .my life centered around the music especially the Beatles got to see them in concert 3 times in Chicago I often tell my 40 yr old son I wish we could've grown up together and experience the 60's together no one was a stranger back then so much in common and music was the thread I could go on ...I will ...in my mind

Paul McCartney compoer and singer (not forgetting guitarist and pianist), backed by Eric Claptonand Mark Knopfler on guitars, Phill Collins on drums and Ray Cooper on percussion. Orchestra and choir, all conducted by the great George Martin. I cried watching the video- wouldn't have much control if I was there. Macca wrote a large section of the soundtrack of my life.

When other musicians play Beatles songs, even eminent musicians, they can never quite replicate the sound. The Beatles possessed true magic.
