Warriors maxed out Klay through his injuries. Not only that they offered him 2 years 48 before the season. So 8 mil per year more than what he got. He turned it down. So he either A) wants a change of scenery or B) bet on himself thinking he could get 30+ million and was wrong. Either way not on the Warriors man.

Dallas needs shooters… and a time machine if they think Klay is the answer. He’s been garbage for like 2.5 years.

This take is so prisoner of the moment. He still averaged almost twenty PPG on 39% shooting from three. Did he not look like the Klay of old? Absolutely not but the Warriors often didn't look like the Warriors of old with the ball movement, back screens, moving without the ball, etc. As a result Klay resorted to dribbling the ball way more than I ever remember which was never his game. Catch and shoot was. When he singlehandedly carried them to victory against OKC and broke a record for the most consecutive threes I believe he only dribbled twice. Klay will thrive on a team where two star players command double teams often and will be wide open. Not saying that he will be Dub City Klay but he will regain some confidence, compete, and enjoy the game again.

@@hector_extraHEC He really didn't get a very stress-free environment to come back to which I think a lot of people are overlooking. The Warriors go on a title run when he comes back, they strikeout with Wiseman, Wiggins goes MIA after personal issues and returns a shell of himself, Draymond clocks Poole and kind of goes crazy afterwards with the suspensions, Curry and CP3 get hurt. Klay resorted to pressing way more than he ever had dribbling more than I've ever seen him do. Then not getting extended in the summer and getting benched just totally messed with his head but somehow he managed to average 18ppg and shoot 39% from three which are by no means scrub numbers. It's just that we're not used to seeing him brick out on clutch scenarios so it's kind of jarring. I think a change of scenery on a team that will draw a lot of open looks that has a dire need for a catch and shoot player like him is a good fit.

@@gerimayawhyte154 mkk you got me convinced. i’ll give it to ya… lots of drama going on i didn’t account for. BUT… i still think the most he will do for Dallas is be like Ray Allen was for the heat. Not the 1, 2, or even 3 but he’ll make some good shots. We’ll see… this is why we watch.

Klay should retire with Steph and Steve Kerr. He got paid for 2 years while sitting on the bench healing, which is unusual to say the least. He’s in his mid 30’s and not the same player anymore. He should face facts because everyone else has. This is going to be a hard and possible painful lesson to learn.

You guys act like Golden State knew Klay tore his achilles and still paid him the maximum contract. golden state only pays the maximum contract because they think klay only has an acl so don't think golden state is fair, and what is the reason klay has an acl??? is because golden state forces klay to play while hamstringed if golden state gives up the series vs raptors klay will be great until today and not get judges some dudes on the internet . According to Bron, Bronny is better than 1/2 the league so they dont need anyone 😂.. in truth the lakers drama is coming full circle from the weak bubble chip, firing of coaches and losing players n picks and cant find assistant coaches and nba stars to join them. But the cherry on the top is giving Bronny a guaranteed contract... Its a cirus in laker nation... Good move for Klay ..

I love Steven A but as far as the Warriors treatment of Klay goes I believe they did him wrong. They devalued him and treated him like a stepchild. They moved mountains for everyone else but just let him go! He didn’t want Steph to use his influence, he wanted them to see his worth and want to keep him without being forced. When he realized he wasn’t valued he was out! Well, I can tell you the fans in the Bay valued him and are upset! The bond that made our team special has been broken! The story isn’t there anymore. We’re just an ordinary team with a Superstar. Nothing really to see anymore. We are going back to irrelevancy. I’m no longer excited to watch. Everyone I speak to feels the same way. This new GM is dismantling everything that was special about our Warrior’s. So disappointing!
