Like I said, I was really impressed with it, The battle system was amazingly smooth and had a lot of the same feel as the originals with even better special effects and animations. Also just like the originals, the equipment is amazing each time you get something knew. Right when you think you couldn't get a better weapon, you open a chest and get one twice as good as what you have!! what really amazed me though was the intricacy of the dungeons. Each one was very well designed. Hope that helps.

Golden Sun was the first game I have played on my brand new Game Boy Advance. To be honest it was the reason ive bought the GBA. After seeing this i felt like a 15 year old boy again. Definetly gonna buy this game and a Nintedo DS. Once again a reason to buy this handheld.

my very first video game...EVER. i still remember that day my dad came back from overseas and revealed to my brother and i our very own Game Boy Advance with a copy of the first Golden Sun game. we loved it so much, we finished it twice and moved on to Golden Sun 2. i actually just found out about Dark Dawn, and though i don't have a DS...i have a reason to get one now :)

@frohjizm no Matthew is the son of Issac and Jenna, and the game's main protagonist. Tyrell is a Mars Adept like his father, Garet. Karis is a female Jupiter Adept and daughter of Ivan. Rief is a male Mercury Adept, student of Kraden and son of Mia. Antagonists include two new characters called Spade and Heart, who are members of a clandestine group.

Because of the little design choices Matthew and Tyrell had, I was led to believe you'd be playing as Isaac and Garett in Dark Dawn. Though you have them for a short while... it's not the same :\

@HeavyMetalGonyea The music sounds similar because the composer is the same. His name is Motoi Sakuraba and he makes the music for all the Tales of games as well as the Golden sun series among others. One of the best in the business in my opinion.

@pablopablo221 No real clue on the story but yes this is a sequel. Yes that old man you saw was in fact Kraden. Him and other(s) from golden sun 1 & 2 are going to appear in the game. So far Issac and Kraden are the only 2 revealed though. FYI the game takes place about 30 years after Golden Sun 2

I liked the graphics of GS better on GBA & DS. They were 2-D but man were they beautiful for their time. Still, I haven't played this one yet. I will though as soon as I beat the lost age.

I have played most of the original Golden Sun and began the second game. But either way, I have read the entire story in depth on line, so I have all the story so far. I got Dark Dawn last week with my expectations being a bout a 6 or 7 out of 10. I honestly didn't think it would be all that great. This game really shocked me though. I haven't been able to put it down. Sure I'd like it if it weren't on a hand held system, and maybe on the Wii or PS3 instead, but it is amazing none the less.

I'm hoping we get ports or remasters of these 3 games in some sort of collection for the switch in 2020. With a Golden sun 4 to follow. Or I would be happy if they did what the mana series has and did a collection of the classics then a full hd remake of Golden sun 1 and 2 together as one game seeing as they were originally ment to be one game but got split. That would be awesome

@pablopablo221 Story - Golden Sun is messed up for some reason and is causing a lot of problems. Kraden should be dead so idk what to say A military nation called Tsenpang (or something idr) are the main enemy in this game. I could say so much more but i dont wanna spoil it for anyone. P.S. Isaac, Garet and Ivan play big roles in this game as well :D
